Called offering prescription renewal.  I asked to be placed on the do not call list.  The rep asked for a credit card number and explained the $18 cost of being added to their do not call list.

Poorly English speaking individual, called asking for someone that hasn't worked here for 7+ years, thought it was a "him", when it's really a woman. Said he talked with "Him" several days ago, which could clearly not be the case since she's retired. Asked if we needed "outsourcing" of computer work or some such thing. Said no and hung up on him.

They called, played music then said thank you & goodbye.

Voicemail left as final notice to have my lawyer call due to an IRS suit?

SXAM - the IRS mails letters if there is a problem,.  Ignore the thief.

Just called and it was two girls laughing and telling me over and over 'you're a [***]'

Called and didn't leave a message.  I'm blocking the number.

they keep calling and asking if I want Viagra - I'm a female WTF

Received three (3) calls between 4:55 am and 7 am answering one telling the caller who claimed they were with technical
department without identifying any company and I told them they could go to hell and do not ever call again.

Caller with foreign accent said his Peter Millar from Fed Verification Grant &Treasury Dept, & I had been selected to receive a $10,000 grant to use anyway I wanted & didn't have to pay it back. I began questioning him for his address which he said was  200 Independence building, Washington DC 7101 ...I knew this was a scam cause gov don't give out grants that you don't apply for & I knew zip code # have 5 digits. I also ask him the phone # he was calling from & he said206-452-2021 ext 103.  He wasn't very smart cause most ppl have caller ids. He began asking me my personal info & I just returned the question back on him. I could tell he was getting frustrated. Then I ask again was was the name of this free grant I have been selected to receive & his true colors came thro...he said this is a mother "f.....g" "f...k" ur grand mother grant & hung up. My thoughts are Trump some of those illegal foreigners are not just terrorist but they are also scammers! There's no telling how many ppl they have scammed for money. I received one last year telling me I needed to purchase a money call for $300 to process my winnings. & Said there would be someone at my door to pick it up & I would receive my winnings as soon as it was processed. This was scary cause they knew my physical address. The recent scam told me my PO BOX # & I stopped him & asked him his address & phone #. I never gave him a chance to recite the rest of my address. I kept questioning him til he got upset & cursed me. I hope whoever.doeant know my physical address. That why I have a POBox #. I thk about all the mail orders we have delivered here at our physical address & it concerns me. Thk I'll make different arrangements from now on. Such as we use to have pkg delivered at my husband's place of employment. Now that we are retired we might shd come up with another plan...any suggestions?

The vast majority of these scammers are not located within the US but in a foreign country like India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Malawi, Jamaica and many others. They use internet phone systems and caller ID spoofing to appear to be a US number but since they are not familiar with many aspects of our country slip up on numerous small details such as claiming to be from Washington, DC with a Washington state area code, etc. I would not worry excessively about them having your physical address since that is fairly easily obtained online now days, unfortunately.

Scam   looked up number here.   After reading some messages. From as far back as 2014 it's apparent that these cells are just passed from scammer to scammer.

Yep ... this number has been used for years and years. Just love this site though. Usually at my computer most of the day so as soon as these numbers pop up on my cell I type them in and wha la! ... there they are. More scammers. Just lovely! Another blocked number.

I answer fraud investigation hotline and they hang up

2nd call from govt. Scammer saying name was randomly selected to receive money. Told him I would report him.

Called to say I qualified for a $9,000 Grant. put the caller on speaker phone then just shut up. Definitely a scam.

Guy said his name was Jordan.  It sounded as if he had a strong Indian accent.  I told him that I don't accept this sort of call and hung up on him.

I get about 10 of these calls a day from various numbers.  When will someone (government? phone companies?) please do something to stop them?

You can do something to stop them yourself. That is if you're able to completely miss calls. That also means no answering device. It's hard to do anything when the majority of the junk calls come from overseas and aided by dummy numbers. You'll want to make it to where unknown callers waste their time calling a number that only rings. If you can't miss calls, a call blocker is probably the best way to slow them down. They're easy to beat if you can do it.

These calls come from other countries ad somehow know your older and probably not real good with computers
