They keep calling and no one is there

they called me a few times and hung up

I received a call fro this number except the last 4 were 0051. My ID showed it coming from National Teleco..nothing else. I've tried callingt the number back and it's busy.

I have to wonder what is going on these days. Since the web and internet there are so many people out there using it for the wrong thing(s). I even have my doubts about anti-virus programs and how well they really can protect out home computers. There are some wizards out there on the web/net and I figure...if we can buy protection off the shelf...these guys can too and reverse engineer or whatever. Ahhh...I'm just venting.

I got a missed call on my iphone today, it gave this # and said it was from boston,MA. No idea who it was from.

Called me at 1300, 8/10/12 MDT. High pitch voice, some kind of suvey (to avoid the Do Not Call restriction) but no obvious way to opt out. Too fast for me to follow, so I have no idea what they wanted to survey.
617 is the area code for Boston.

Missed call from NTI. I called back five times and got a busy signal. I read somewhere on this site they're telling people who are on SSD, they can get them work? If this is true,.how are they getting phone numbers and names of SSD INDIVIDUALS?? How can we report this and to whom?

i have received three phone calls regarding one of my FAMILY member's loans--they scared me quite a bit--as they would not tell me why they were claling and i thought something had happened to my child! i'm disgusted! beware, tell them nothing. luckily i said nothing about her life. i actually thought they were looking for a reference (that's what they said!) and then they said i was the numebr to clal in an emergency.

Anyone who receives a call from this number: HANG UP !  This is a whole in the wall business. They are a COLLECTION agency . The business name they give is KAPLIN & ASSOC. They are not lawyers ! Don Smith is just a loud obnoxious person. Not even his company! They are located in Ontario, CA . They used to use another false business name of MVP & associates. If you own any debt do not pay. They do not have no documents to be delivered ! They will not garnish your wages. because the owner buys the accounts for pennies on the dollar!!!   They used all different kinds of area codes . depending on what state you live in or near by. NUMBERS THET USE ARE: 617-778-0050 .... 201-254-8737....855-829-4046.....253-200-1270  And when do you need to show  a Social Security Card when and if your getting served legally..??  lol.... All of the workers use fake names. Tracy Scott... Don Smith... Alex Green and Emily Brown all fake names   They used a website called TLO. That's how they get your relatives neighbors co workers .your employment . .. these are con artist ,who has and sees all your information. Even if you owe the debt : THE OWNER WILL NOT TAKE YOU TO COURT. IT'S ALL LIES ! SHE WILL NOT PAY COURT COST OR EVEN FILE A COURT MATTER. SHE IS MONEY HUNGRY!! That whole in the wall would rather take your last $25 a month payment if your life depended on it!!  RUDE RUDE AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE!! They ask you to get a pre-paid card...SCAM !!!!

I'm disabled and unable to physically work. So why am I getting calls from some company offering me some kind of compensational bonus if I work? Is this some sort of scam or is disability now hiring scam artists to try and catch other scam artists that are actually working while on disability? Leave me alone my life is hard enough as it is I don't need to be harassed as well.  Blocked just like the last company that called me.

The call I received today from this number was an automated robotic call,  The voice said something about receiving $9,000 a month for working (or something like that),  I am also disabled and wondering if that fact has something to do with my receiving the call. If it did then they are  wasting their time because I am truly disabled and if I wasn't I wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for this!

Hi. I got a call from this number too. I don't answer calls from numbers not in my contacts. Report the number to your phone carrier. Block the number too, if your phone has that option. And, you can report it on the Do Not Call Registry. There is an option for that,  on the National Do Not Call Registry. I've done it. It works. Not instantly, because of the high volume of reports. But it does work.
As for the call to your carrier, if this number shows numerous calls to people, their service can be shut off. In one instance, I got a company's phone's taken away.
