Just got served for Credit Card for 09.

Jen is that so? Well give us the actually name & address for this so called company that had you served!! The number & complaint has been filed with the Federal Trade Commission & i bet you within several days they'll shut this # down! If a company can not provide prrof of an actual debt via mail or certified mail it isn't REAL!

So jen whats the name of this company masking behind fake # after #?

Here we go again!  I was waiting on a new number to show up.  After all, it has been several days since they called me from the 6th number with the same information, voices and claim number.  This is now the 7th number.  If they will just call me directly, I will be glad to meet them so they can serve me!  We can meet at the sherrif's department.  I am so ready for these low life scammers to get what they deserve, and it isn't money from people that are working everyday to make a living.  Please Joe, tell us exactly who you were served by, and also what state you live in.  I would really like to know!

Their recorder isn't even working correctly today.  It just keeps repeating the same thing.  LOL!

they keep calling me everyday at around 1pm asking for someone by the name of Joshi. I do not pick up the phone because I know this  is a scam

They said the name of the firm was McConnell and Greenaman. Said a civil complaint had been filed against me, which is really funny, because the payday loan company that this is all about was in Kansas. I called them back and said I would be filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for their illegal collection practices. Called the Massachusetts Bar. They said there is no lawfirm by that name in Massachusetts. Be careful who you give your information to.

Just rec'd the same message as everyone - but - they DO NOT say a company name they are calling from nor do they give a name of the person calling.  This is NOTHING but scare tactics - and I am fairly sure they are also calling from phone number   920-669-0809    The message was very robotic and you can tell they are reading from a script.    The number of 920-669-0809 - identified themselves as ALLIED INVESTIGATIONs and said her name was Amber Whitley - but alas - poor dear - she was reading from a script and gave me the incorrect number to call back (she was off a digit)   she then called back the second time to give me AGAIN the incorrect number.   DO NOT CALL THESE FOOLS - THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS   and Joe - I have a HUGE feeling that you are schilling for this company.   Nothing but trash from ol' Joe's mouth - how much $$$ are they paying you to say these things Joe?????

This company contacted me after I sent them cease and desist paperwork with a recorded message that got cut off. They are trying to collect on accounts that have already been paid and refuse to provide validation of debt. If they are calling you report them to the FTC, and your Attorney General immediately and do not pay anything without validation of debt. I have dealt with 40 some companies like this and they use false threats to scare you and never have validation of debt. If they can provide you with validation of debt then work with them but if not then something is fishy.

Keep calling me from didn't numbers. Don't leave name or info. Don't know who they r.

Everyone,  let me give you the lowdown:  This is nothing more than scare tactics used by collection companies trying to collect on deliquent payday loans. The threaten 'legal action' and say that youll be dealt with at 'your home or place of employment' or they'll say youre gonna be 'arrested' or 'there's a warrant out for you', etc,etc..
                                            IT IS ALL B.S.!!!

Trust me, I know because I used to work at one of these companies for a short time. Yes I'm ashamed to admit it but I did. I worked for a company called Legal Mediation Practice down here in Jacksonville, Fl. I dont think the company is even in business anymore but you can Google it. We used aliases and we collected on payday loans from places like ACE Cash Express, Advance America, Allied, etc.

Dont let them scare you!  Next time they call & threaten you, call their bluff and throw it back in their face! Tell that youre familiar with the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) and they need to be careful what they say to you. They will either start acting nicer right away or they'll give up and hang up on you..

...Its kinda fun actually to play around with them! I do it all the time and when they realize I know that law and what theyre all about they end up hanging up on me in frustration!! I just sit back and laugh!!

Okay guys they got a new South Carolina # 803-728-1739. They simply won't give up at all! Be very careful!

Same deal as the other commenters.  I get a phone call every other day from a different state with the same voice, same case #, etc.  The same voices (a man or a woman) leave the message.  I spoke with the lady the first time and realized it had to be a scam when she would not give out the address of her "law firm."  They want me to pay them but refuse to provide any identifying information . . . hmm.  Then, she stated the firm was in my state (but calling from CA).  The Bar Association says the firm does not exist.  I recorded the call and began saving all the voicemails as, unfortunately, I can no longer answer my cell phone, and I hate that these scammers are succeeding in disrupting my life!!  I pay my bills and don't owe anyone yet am still being harrassed.  Pathetic.
