Exactly the same red flags I noticed. I called "James Parsons" who ironically has a thick Spanish accent.  I started laughing and hung up on him.  Wow. Maybe I should call him back and tell him to Google his telephone number hehehehe

Received an email regarding pricing on specific Grundfos pumps from East Coast Contractors, James Parsons.  He said he would pick up in Florida and what forms of payment do we accept.  I called "James Parsons" and he had a thick Spanish accent.  I asked who was speaking and he said who are you trying to reach? Imagine my luck!  It was James Parsons! haha

I just hung up on him.  the email address was eastcoastcontracttors@gmail.com  yet it was a California phone number.  Red flags, anyone?  

He is still at work.

I would like to be furnished with detailed information on availability, prices and method of payment of the item below.

Below is the form letter I received from our mystery James Parson, aka  East coast contractors, but he failed to realize that he added an extra "t" when he created his email account.  This companies origins are very hazy to say the least.  I doubled the prices on all the pumps, and he still wanted to purchase them.  BE VERY CAUTIUS WHEN DEALING WITH THIS GUY

As a note to others: The suppose 'buyer' is East Coast Contractors, with a gmail address? Hum? A web based email address that anyone in the world can get (a little too obvious, right?) Soooooo.....EC Contractors don't have a web site? I'm sure they can get a 1-year deal on a recent registration. That's what all our other scammers do.

Same as the rest, wanting large ticket items but most certainly stolen card info

This guy called today with the normal read request of grundfos pumps with specified models his accent was deep and I couldn't understand his request so he emailed me when I read his name was James parsons it raised a complete red flag but I called my distrubutor and asked for quotes telling them to take their time on getting back with me because this sounded shady . I tried to find east coast contractors but couldn't find anything about them so I googled email and phone number and this is where I landed . Be smart be conscience , trust no one .

A search for "Alarp Contractors" brought me here. Note these contractors are using a free gmail account, with the name alapcontractors (no "r"). The wretched English tells you his name isn't "Mike Sidney" either.

Definitely a scam. They ask random businesses for random stuff, hoping to get a bite. Then they'll pay with a stolen credit card or a forged check. Sometimes they'll send a check for more than the quoted amount and ask you to wire the difference back via Western Union. Beware!

there was a request that cam accross my email. they wanted a quote on a series of pumps. obviously i found out this is a scam and notified the sender that there is an ongoing investigaton on this.
