ANSWER! It's your bank calling regrading something with your account.

At 6:56pm Pacific time, I received a call from 619-645-4100 on my cell phone saying it was Union Bank Fraud Dept. and that my debit card had appeared on a list received by Union Bank indicating it may be subject to fraud and did I want to close my debit card now or wait a week etc. He gave me the phone number to call Union Bank Fraud Dept. back (800-941-8492, which I later confirmed is legitimate). I wasn't certain it was actually Union Bank calling so I asked him to hold, and called Union Bank on another phone. He hung up. Union Bank confirmed there was possible fraud on my debit card and that my debit card had been blocked. While I was talking to Union Bank, I received an email from Union Bank advising me of the possible fraud and blocking of my debit card account number. Though the original call appears to have been legitimate, I did not feel comfortable discussing my account with them; I'm glad I called Union Bank directly.

This is legit - it's Union Bank Fraud department.  619-645-4100 is the number that came up on my phone but it's not one you can call back.  The call back number is 800-941-8492.

Call is legit. Notified me of fraudulent charges and they closed my account after providing the last 4 of my social for verification. After reading this thread I sat on pins and needles waiting for Tuesday a.m. after a holiday weekend to call the 800 number on the card. When I talked to the first customer service rep he could not see any fraudulent charges on my account. I freaked out thinking I had been scammed so I asked to speak with a manager she had access to the fraud department database and confirmed the call was legit and verified all of the same info I had originally been told. I know my post will  not necessarily ease any ones worries but hopefully add a little peace of mind to offset the first few posts in this thread.

I received a call and they left a message saying they were from the fraud division of Union Bank. I called my local Union Bank and asked them if 800-941-8492 was a genuine number for their fraud division. They said it was a genuine Union Bank number, and they verified there was a questionable charge to my account. This is not a scam. It is a genuine number for Union Bank.
