Calls every other day.  Leaves no message.

Extended Vehicle Warranty solicitor. Called everyday for 4 days straight. Finally answered and advised that my cell phone is on the National Registry Do Not Call List and to not call again. Caller apologized and stated they would remove me from their data base.

It's a scammer. They call you and tell you that the warranty on your car is expired or about to expire and try to get you to purchase some kind of warranty premium, stating that it would save you tons of money in case your car stops working. Guy with an Indian/Pakistani accent, (like most scam callers have in my experience for some reason), said that he was with the vehicle service department and asked about the mileage on my car. I said "you're in the vehicle service department of what company?" (Because surely it sounds like the name of a particular department in some company, right?" As I was waiting for him to say "Ford", because I have a Ford Focus so that would make just a little more sense for THEM to be calling me talking about the warranty on my car, he actually said "vehicle protection". I'm like wahh?? He then restates that he's with the vehicle service department. I asked "So Vehicle Service Department" is the name of your company? He said yes. At that point I hung up. I then google this 'company' and sure enough, the first few results that popped up were warnings about these scammers. I think it makes more sense that the dealership through which you purchased the car would be calling you about the warranty, not some weird 3rd party company that you've never been affiliated with who you're wondering how in the world they know about you and your car anyways. Beware, folks.
