AMEX credit cards

Just got a call from this number at 7:2x pm on Sunday evening. I don't even have an Amex
Acct (that's if it IS Amex calling) they left no message

This is American Express and no I do not have an Amex account.
They refused to accept that.

Yea It's Amex and they are hounds, you may not have a card but a friend or realative might !  DIVIDE and CONQUER  they are ruthless.

This number came across as american Express on my caller ID.

People from American express keep calling my number and I didn't even give it to them!

This number along with several others has been auto-dialing my work phone number which forwards to my cell phone at least 3 times a day for weeks. It's a phishing scam! When you dial the number it says American Express and asks you to enter your 15 digit account number. Just Google "report phishing scams" and go to the government website. The more information they get, the quicker they can catch these scumbags.

I got a call from this number regarding a xfer that failed to process.  The guy was very abrupt and sounded sketchy.  When I called AMEX customer service they said they had record of the call and that it was legit.

It's American Express. I have not payed my bill in over 2 months now. If I had the money, I would pay it, but clearly I don't. Luckily for me, I gave them my google voice phone number, so I just don't forward the calls, and they leave messages on it. I will check it at night and see about 6-10 calls every single day from them. I would go crazy if I had given them my real cell phone number to call. I think maybe I should just declare bankruptcy on them.

Those jerks, forcing you to use your card to buy stuff and then expecting you to pay the bill.

THIS IS NOT AE! They have also called under the number 602-537-9012, where a lady just answers, "American Express". When you call AE, they already know who is calling when your number pops up and that is how they greet you. AE would NEVER call and harass you about a card (AE DOES NOT come to you, YOU go to AE!). Called AE and they verified that these numbers are not from AE and what they scammers do is call AE and ask to be transfer so they can somehow make calls and have AE show up when they make bogus calls.

Just PAY your bill or either talk to them and let them know your situation like an ADULT. Hiding from calls and giving out fake numbers is beyond childish and sounds like you shouldn't have been given a credit card to begin with.

Ok, the 623-492-1073 is AE, however it came up under another number, the scammers number of 602.537.9012. The AE rep said that they are not supposed to, but scammers will call AE, ask to be transferred and then start their scamming so it looks like AE is calling.

This number keeps calling but never leaves a message. Further, a different fake number shows up in the ID spot. So it just proves this is yet ANOTHER scam! Funny how when I'm overseas and I use my phone, I NEVER get scam calls. So other countries either don't have this issue, or have found ways to stop it from happening. If THEY can stop it or prevent it, why can't this d**n country!?

Left a voicemail that says it’s American Express. I do not own that card. Makes me believe that it’s a scam.

I got a phone call from this number and they asked me for my credit card number.

Keep calling from this number. No message. Call from various numbers but caller ID has 623-492-1073

They call my work number every day looking for someone I don't know. Says it's American Express but I don't even have an account with them. I keep telling them I don't know the person they are calling & I don't have an account but they keep calling anyway. SCAM!
