it seems like a debt consolidation agency.  when i asked if they realized they called my business phone, they hung up.  go figure...

I receive about one call per week from these clowns. Any questions and they hang up. Some sort of debt relief working with various law firms across the country. Not that companies like this follow the laws...but, I thought autodailing was illegal now.

an automated phone call about credit card debt - not ours, more than likely the prior owner of this number.  we have had this telephone less than 24 hours and have not even released it to our family yet!  i called to have number removed the person that answered the line hung up on me.

I got a call and tried to stop joshua from talking to request my number removed, i had to hang up. I called back and like the the other reports i've read here they hang up on you, I requested a manager, hang up, when i said i would like to talk to an agent, they asked if i was in debt, when i asked if this was an agent i could talk to, they hung up, this sounds like a scam to get your private info, and i believe this is a setup from overseas, using a number here in USA. just hang up on them.

Called me at work (I am receptionist/switchboard) with a recording from "John" saying that "according to their records I have over $6,000 in credit card debt.  Press 1 to speak with a representative."  Recording did not give me the opportunity to press a number to remove us from their call list so I pressed 1 for a representative. It is a debt consolidation call center in some foreign country.  I asked for us to be removed from their call list; they hung up on me.  I called back several times requesting they remove our number.  Each time they just hung up.  Why aren't these calls illegal?
