Same thing, multiple calls a day, we blocked the number, but the first ring always comes thorugh before block comes on. Unreal how stupid these people or companies are.. ours says CRT.. is there something legal we can do? I believe this is called Harassment..

Yes this is harassment.  I don't understand.  We're on the national "DO NOT CALL" list to prevent phone solicitation and yet these people are still calling.  Is there anyway to report this and perhaps have the cell number de-activated by their carrier?

The caller from this number has called us seven times today

They called me today too...(7/14/09). It came up on the Caller Id as "CRT". They asked for my husband and then me. I told them they have the wrong number because whatever they want wasn't important. Any way of blocking them?

The CRT phone calls are most likely no legit. At my home I have caller ID and ignore their calls. Their number is probably a VOIP number which can be changed very quickly online. These type of numbers are hard to trace as you can pick what area code you like when you change your number. So say the owner of the account is in Georgia and the number they call from has a 214 Dallas area code. Additionally, They can create this account from out of the country, so say this account owner is in Georgia, the country instead of the USA. The calls with scammers usually only last a few days. Since they are not legitimate companies they move on, change the phone numbers, before they are detected by the law.

I hope it works...i have requested no less than 5 times to be removed from their list, each time the person says "its the first time your account came up on my screen" and they ask if it was explained that it takes 30 days to remove our name.  Finally got so peeved I told the last caller that harrassment charges will be filed and that the calls need to stop today, right now.  We will see!

This number calls at least 8 times a day for weeks. Never a message. I am on every do not call list possible and have an unpublished number.

this number comes up on my caller id as CRT.  seven times today so far and it's not even 3.30.  completely aggressive and aggravating.  i call back and there is a busy signal.

I've been getting calls from 626-213-2525 for months now.   They never leave a message - after several rings it goes to a busy signal.  The caller-id is CRT.   I'm so sick of this and hope they are soon stopped.

Today they called to ask if my wife has authorization to use my Bank of America credit card.  1) I'm not married, 2) I don't have a Bank of America credit card...  I wish there was something we could do.

I got a "manager" on the line & the company is Custom Response Teleservices.  I will contact my company to see if this is for real.  They said they are hired by our credit card companies.  Sounds ligitimate, however I would continue to be wary.  http://www.crtc.cc/index.html  They wanted to offer life insurance thru MN Life at 800-328-9343.  I think I scared the crap out of them.

how do we stop this stuff ?

They are calling us multiple times a day and have been doing this for weeks. We are also on the national Do Not Call List, so we should NOT be receiving these calls. I have reported them. If they get caught calling a number after they have been reported it can cost them $15,000 per call. Something for them to think about?

Called my number in Illinois.  Got Mr. Answering machine and did not leave a message.  That's rude!

I called this compaany back today because I am sick of getting 4-5 calls a day from them. These calls have been happening for the last couple of months. I spoke to a lady when I called and she told me that they are a soliciting/telemarkiting company that is hired by local banks and credit card companies. You may have an account with atleast one of these banks/credit card companies and they more than likely have sold your information to CRT. The lady was nice to me on the phone and placed my phone number on the do not call list, which is supposed to be effective after midnight. Time will tell if it will really work....

Everyday for the last week we got a phone call from this number.  I picked up, no answer.

calls repeatdly id shows crt. wants to talk only to myself.

They call under several Names........ MUTOFO and CRT.

MUTOFO is Mutual of Omaha. CRT.... I don't know.

Never select the "opt out" button. It tells them that your number is alive.

If you call the number they give you the option "To remove your number from our client's "Do Not Call" list, press 1"

Think about that wording for a second. Always press 2 and talk to an actual person. They treated me like a moron for not pressing one but after biting back they conceded that it was worded poorly and they supposedly took care of it for me.

Here is hoping they did. I would call during business hours. If you are unsure with your area code. 10am- 1 pm is probably your best shot wherever.

Don't put up with this.
