- Meek| 1 replyCalls me claiming to be with Platinum Plus Rewards having to do with my Mastercard. They ask for me by name, tell me my shipping address (which is also my billing address) to verify, and even know the last 4 digits of my card. They tell me that I've been a great customer and they want to send me a free gift. The only catch is, I have to pay for them to send it to me. Now I might have fallen for this if not for one detail. I've had the card since 1998 and only had the number they are calling on a year. The number they are calling is in no way related to any of my credit cards as I use my cell phone number to handle all of my business. I get this call from a few numbers and they are all the same pitch. The cost to ship my "gift" is anywhere from $1 - $6.
THIS IS A PHISHING CALL. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. THEY TELL YOU THE LAST 4 DIGITS SO YOU THINK THEY ARE LEGIT. THEN THEY TALK YOU INTO GIVING THEM YOUR CARD INFO TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING OF YOUR "GIFT." ONCE HEY GET YOUR INFO, I WON'T BE LONG BEFORE YOU ARE A VICTIM OF A FEW FRAUDULNT PURCHASES.
TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST AND NEVER CALL AGAIN. - JThe same problem on my way.
To day 12:00am, a Mexico women give me a call, and she said the visa company want to sent me a free gas and more.
The following is their new number form the same [***] : (626)273-8241 - danjust got a call from this one too. i told them to take me off their list. have been getting a few of these lately, one from south florida, one from nevada, one from an 800 nbr, now this. my cell number is only a few months old.
maybe the bad economy, the CC companies are selling our data to these bums, trying to make a fwe bucks off their customer lists??? - SeminaryMan| 2 repliesI have been receiving calls from this number all day as well (626-273-8241) as well as from 619-801-8144. However, it only rings 3 times and then hangs up. When I call it back I get an "apology" machine stating to hit the number 1 to be taken off their list.
Yeah, right. Hasn't happened yet. - netty mac replies to MeekI got a call today from this phone number too. They said I won a free Mexican vacation for 3 days 4 nights and a $100 gas card.
All I had to do was go through some "verification questions". The only problem was they had my old address but new card number. When I asked them to not call me back and hung up on them, they called me back within seconds asking, "why did you hang up on me?". Not very professional and made me suspicious. Anyway, I called 1-800-MCassist to see if this really was a mastercard program. They congratulated me on not giving them any info....... watch out for this scam!!! - netty mac replies to SeminaryMan| 1 replyMe too. I also have gotten calls from 619-801-8143 and 619-801-8142.
- BobI've received multiple calls from this company. Sometimes there is someone on the other end trying to get me to sign up for something, and sometimes it's dead air. I contacted the phone carrier and found out that the company is Telephone Management Caller ID, LLC. Their primary phone number is 866-225-1956. The company email address is dnc@tmcallerid.com.
I recommend that everyone file a complaint with the FCC about this company.
Thanks,
-Bob - HeimyYes, i have been getting the same calls from 1-626-273-8241. These are terrible, they call many times a day for the last 2 weeks. I have asked them to take me off their list but apparently that doesn't matter.

- Krispy1985I got a call from this telling me I was receiving $260 in free gas from my credit card company for my card ending in XXXX. They wanted me to verify a bunch of stuff including my address. This call was to my cell phone so not only did they interrupt my gathering I was at, but for 10 minutes of my cell time - And then to make matters worse they were from India and I couldn't understand 1/4 of what they said. I finally hung up in frustration. 3 days later when trying to purchase books for college, my credit card was stopped by my bank for "suspicious entries" - they stole my credit card!!!!! So needless to say I blame myself for even answering the stupid call and it won't happen again. DON'T ANSWER THAT CALL FROM THEM.

- MarcSo far I have had the number call 6 times. Almost 2 calls per hour! I don't answer but would like them to stop. They just started calling today on my cell phone number which I rarely give out so I don't know how they got my number. Is there a way to make a cell phone not answer a certain number? I want them to stop calling! If you call someone 1 or 2 times an hour and get no answer, they either don't want to talk or you dialed a wrong number. Reading some of these comments about them having credit card numbers concerns me. Does anyone know if these people have made unauthorized charges to credit cards especially to people who don't answer them or hand up?
- SeanWow! I seriously can't understand why American corporations are trying to scam its own people. I just got this call about a few minutes ago from this number; 626-273-8241.
This lady who i could not understand started explaining that because i have been such a loyal customer to connecting businesses through there company, they where going to send me a "free gift" of "$120" Dollars. She quickly told me through some jargen... then told me she had the last four digits of my credit card number and my address. Immediately this got me upset wondering why and how she had my credit card number and my address. So i turned the conversation around and started asking her questions. "Oh really your going to send me a free gift of 120 dollars? Why? How do you have my cred card number? What company did i work with that you have this information?" She could never give me a straight answer. I constently was asking her over and over agian just saying "all i am asking is a simple question." And also saying what do you get out of this? why would offer me money especially on the phone? and especially this being in california? I dont live in california...
Total Scam. Really upsetting too. I never gave her anymore information then what she had, even asked her what company it was that she was working for. And as i was talking to her i looked it up online and found it was a scam. LOL even telling her why are you trying to scam me? this is all over the internet. Even this number; which i really found out later.
Wow, my advise is do not listen to people that have no idea who you are and start quickly giving you "free gifts". I am not a [***] and no one else in this country should have to put up with these ridiculous phone calls.
We should bomb these companies so they can stop trying to scam us with there ridiculous requests, and Continuing to destroy our economy like this as well. Wow what a complete was of time and energy. America doesn't need these scammers.- Caller: Global Rewards
