Got a call on my cell phone from 626-273-8278 at 1:53 PM CST today.  It was a recorded message saying that they were from card services and 1st of all wanted to let me know that everything was OK with my credit card but they wanted to talk to me about lowering my interest rate on my credit card to as low as 6.25% and to talk to someone about this to press 9.  I pressed 9 because I get these calls all the time at home and never answer them so I thought I would tell them to stop calling me.  A man answered after 6 rings and asked me if I was interested in lowering my interest rate on my credit card.  I replied, "I don't know, why don't you tell me first of all which credit card company you are calling from and a little about the program since you called me."  He promptly hung up on me... ahhhhh not today SUCKER!!

On my caller ID, the name of the caller came up as SPAM 05 25 10

If it's got spam in the name, don't answer.

Yes, I got the call today at 3:30 Pacific time from that number about "we are shutting off your credit card, if you pay, lowering your interest rates as low as 4% but you must pay $3000 to get this back, press 1 to talk to a representative" I pressed one, CLICK, it hung up... Well first off, I'm 19 years old, have NEVER owned a credit card, I'm too afraid to even sign up for one! Speaking no job and haven't finished my school... I don't even own anything expensive! Well I called the number back, and it says "To remove us from the do not call list and to STOP RECIEVING SPECIAL OFFERS AND PROMOTIONS FOR US, please allow 72 hours to not recieve calls and press one, CLICK" could not even press 1, called it back again, and I got to press one, then it said "Thank you" and hung up.Obviously after looking it up it was a scam, and sounded like one to begin with.

The number is an automated device that calls cell phone numbers. Not legal! makes no difference whether phone is on "do not call list", or not .What a waste of my cell minutes!

This caller continues to call me when I have asked for them to stop. Why don't you idiots in FCC or whatever government entity controls this do your job or the TELEMARKERS lobbyist paying you to much money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone do their JOB anymore, only when some money exchanges hands does anything get done in our government.

Got a call today on my cell phone.  The automated message said that this was the last courtesy call that I would receive before they would close my credit card account.  That they had sent me several notices by mail....That's when I hung up.  Excuse me, but I don't have a credit card of any kind.  I have discovered that putting your number on the do not call list really doesn't work when these people use a computer to dial random numbers.  The computer doesn't know that your on a list, it just dials away until someone answers.

called my cell...said to press 9 to talk to a representative about lowering my interest rates, no other options...I pressed 9...for a few seconds could hear back-ground conversation about "last Saturday" then he finally identified himself as Cory and asked if I wished to lower my interest rate...I replied "no thank you, I'd like my number removed from your calling list"...he became very rude and said he was there to lower my interest not something else...I advised it was my mobile phone and don't want to pay minutes for their unwanted call...Cory continued to be rude, talked over me, and said "get a real phone so you don't get charged minutes, huh-HA huh-HA huh-HA" then hung up...I redialed the number from my call log and recording advised to press 1 to be removed from the calling list...I pressed 1, no confirmation so I hung up

Received a call from this number a few minutes ago, Google searched the area code, found this page. After browsing the comments here I am noticing that they are all fairly recently posted, within the last couple of days or so.
Claimed to be card services, last courtesy message, sent many message to my residence [um...no in fact that's a lie.], blah blah blah. I don't even have a credit card to my name yet!

My husband just got call from same # on his cell...answered but no recording and no one replied so hung up

Received phone calls on mine and my husband's cell from 6262738278 and then the 7134819947 number at home.  I answered my cell; it was about magazine subscriptions.  Answered my husband's cell and it was about a credit card.  Funny, he subscribes to the magazines in our home and I have the one credit card.  So, no point in them calling.  Then the call to our home I tried to answer and no response.  Thankfully after reading these comments I did go and take my name off of my voicemail and will make sure we have a generic home voicemail greeting too.  Thanks.  Such a frustrating ordeal...  Thought it was comical too, that I called the 626 number back and asked to speak to a representative as well, to request the DNC list, and I explained to him that I thought it ironic that my husband doesn't have any credit cards.  He simply said, 'don't you know what year it is' and hung up.  Moron.

Scam - added number to don't answer contact in my phone =)

Total scam. Called about lower interest rates for my credit cards, but hung up after I inquired which cards this was about. The automated message said "we have sent you several courtesy letters" which was totally false!

Call came in on my cell phone - a recording claiming to be from "Card Services".  Usual crap about  lowering my interest rates, interesting since I have zero credit card debt.  Said it was my "last chance", they had sent several notices to my home (also BS).  Obviously a scam, but irritating since it eats up my cell minutes.

Called my cell phone on Jan 5th 2010 at 12:48pm. Missed the call.

I'm getting sick of these calls from different numbers and I look them up and find out others are getting it.
