POS calls, no message, no response, then hangs up.

Appears to be legit since we have an expiring subscription with the Orange County Register.  My credit card was charge accurately for the subscription amount, and to the OC Register

I have got a call from this number the last few days, did not answer. Now looked to 800 notes today and see "L"'s comment on Dec. 1, 2017. Thanks. The Caller ID was: SCNG  I did not recognize. After reading some of the comments here, and also have had a free subscription to OC Register that could be ending around now, so I will look into that. OK, just googled OC Register Parent Co, and I find this: "Southern California News Group (SCNG), the parent company of the Orange County Register, Long Beach Press Telegram, Riverside Press-Enterprise and basically every daily paper left in Southern California not owned by the Los Angeles Times...."  So, next time they call I will answer. On my phone screen, it looked like "SONG" which is more of a problem with my land line phone and my eyes!  For 2018, this is probably a legit Publishing company calling you about some subscription you have, or used to have with OC Register or another SC paper. And it may be an online subscription for e-paper, not necessarily a "paper" newspaper that lands on your driveway.

Just received a voice mail message Just received call stating verification of my subscription - Which I never Subscribe to anything!!       SCAM CALLER     caller ID Read  SCNG 126-538-9371

Robocall message left regarding our subscription to...and then an incoherent syllabus.  If we had any questions, please call 800-794-6397.  Again, it was about...incoherent one syllable.  A newspaper was delivered on Sunday, so I imagine they were hoping we’d like it enough to want more.  Thanks but,  No thanks.

call 8:30 PM  could not understand the message left but said to call a number which wasn't left and it was about newspaper subscription  definite spam w/ a 626 area code

They also called today on my landline at 1:13 PM PST. They still won't respect anyone's privacy at all. I hope they get hurt in a fire breakout next time :)

Caller id showed "Telemarketer" and call was blocked by our blocking service.
