I just received a call from this phone number, (626-657-2202).  The gal was asking for my Sister or Husband.  They've both died some time ago.  What's the deal with this?  And, coincidently,  657 is the call area for the small town I live in.

I just received a call to my home from this number.  They did not leave a message.

They just called our business stating they are from WE Energies (our local utility company) and wanted to talk to someone about energy savings.  Why would they be calling from California?  Told him not interested.

Said it was information about SoCal Edison Utility and the REQUIRED time of use program.  I said I live in Wisconsin and don't own anything there.  They said sorry and would remove my number.  Sounded legit.

The person called at few minutes to 8:00pm and said she's from Southern California Edison.  She wanted to verify information on my account.  But she asked for Mr. or Mrs. M.  That made me suspicious as there's been no Mr. M since the early 90's and my number was not the marriage number.  Then the person asked me to verify my telephone number and I said you just called me on my number.  She gave me lots of ridiculous answers.  She then asked me for my home address and I said I won't do that as SCE would have it on file.  She then wanted to know about my receiving statements in the mail and noticed that I pay on line.  I said I was paperless billing since it was first offered on line, and I don't receive mailed statements.  After this, I said I don't trust her and that I will contact SCE in the morning to verify.  Also, I said where are you calling from and she said Arizona.  I said wrong because I know the area code.  Then she said Duluth, Minnesota and again I said wrong.  She proceeded to put me on hold for bit and came back and said the number is in the San Gabriel Valley of California.  I said I'm hanging up as said she looked it up.  I finally said sorry I don't believe you and hung up.  I will be contacting SCE and find out if my account might have been hacked.  I do not trust this phone number that called me!
