- Stephie replies to Crain with Butte County Social ServicesFinally some one who knows something. But, now what? They don't leave a message or when I answer they hang up. Will they send a letter? Who do I call to find out? I wish they would make this easier.
- Mike| 1 replyThis number called me today, I did not answer and they did not leave a message, so I'm blocking the number.
- tanyaplease stop calling my phone

- Caller: Calfresh/calworks called you
- Call type: Event reminder
- Poltergeist replies to johnIt's a county #.
They call to verify appointments, etc.
877 410 8812 is the # YOU would use to call. You need an IVR pin for this though. - Robert LeRoy Parker| 2 repliescalled today at 3:05pm and said from "The County" and something about filing taxes even though I may not be required to file taxes. Then named a website so quickly I couldn't have written it down even if I was ready with a pen and paper. I am on medi-cal and disabled.
- Kris| 1 replyI am a current worker with shasta county health and human services in california. This is not a number i recognize from our county. Do not call this number back!
Place a call to your county. It will be a 1-800 number of some sort. Talk to the representative and tell them you received a call. If you have medical, calfresh or calworks, give your case number so they can access your case. They WILL ask identifying questions if you do not have or know your IVR number. That is a 4 digit pin number.
Ask them if you have the ok for the county to call. Tell them that you want it removed and they will send a form to do so.
Again, DO NOT return a call to the 626 number. The only website the county uses is c4yourself.com there is NO .net address - CBMIt can't be CalFresh because a) I don't receive cash aid or food stamps from my county and b) a county in Southern California has no business calling someone in a different county. These things are handled by each respective county. This is a scam, obviously. I think it might be the Scientologists or some other crackpot organization.

- 0me replies to Robert LeRoy Parker| 1 replyI just received this same call today. The website is http://caleitc4me.org/ It looks like it's free help for filing your taxes if you need it and it also explains how to get the EITC credit on your taxes.
- Tiffany replies to 0meThank you! They talked so quickly i couldnt understand the website
- EmilyLeft a message saying something about a tax return. The message was cut off so I didn't hear the whole thing . Medi-Cal qualifies you know by using your tax returns so it probably has something to do with that. I won't be answering and giving anyone any of my information though. I think it's from the human services department where you get cash aid or Cal fresh because it has the same voice as when you call in to their Hotline
- ChasiI got this call from a automated machine to file a tax. It's another one of the scam calls. If you give them your social or welfare information. You are being scamed! You should never give your information over the phone.
- Caller: How to file a tax call.
- Food StampsThis was associated with an application for food stamps. Safe to answer. It's just a recording that says something like "This is a call from **** for *your name*. If this is *your name*, please press 1. When you press 1, they confirm that you have an upcoming appointment. Totally safe to answer in my opinion.
- Caller: Food Stamps
- Call type: Event reminder
- Adriana Jamesit says i have an appointment in banning ca but does not say where to go im lost and dont know what to do
- Call type: Event reminder
- CLI just got a call from this number as well. I got a new phone recently and a new number. The person who had this number previous to me was a real piece of work. I have constant calls from collection agencies, attorneys, PAROLE workers... I've had it. AT&T won't change my number for free. Bah, anyway.. I think this number may be coming from Cal Works.
- Caller: Cal Works
- AnnoyedIf its fake and a scam why hasnt the FCC and the FBI closed them down for Federal Communications violations?
