Threat to garnish my check. called my job.

It is the 2nd time I've received this in a month and both times it was almost robotic of a voice, but sounded like a person, a man with a pinched nose.  I couldn't grasp the info until I typed the # in and I completely match up with Mrs. Pyne above. I know it is a company called NEWMARK & ASSOCIATES.  I have never looked into it, but they did threaten to send mail to my home and my work (I DO NOT HAVE AN EMPLOYER - SO AUTOMATICALLY I KNOW IT IS SPAM/SCAM/ILLEGAL). And as the person above stated, most likely to garnish a check but I do not work so this is definitely a scam call.

I received the same call, same day as you.  It says you posted 4 hours ago.  I'm in Northeastern PA.  How about you? Did your job understand it was a scam?  Did anything garnish from your check?  I don't even work, or have a job and they are saying something on the machine about sending mail to my "job".  Hahah, good luck with that buddy!

Someone called from Newmark & Assoc threatening to send something out to my address that needed to be signed. Said that I should have a lawyer call them back within 24 hours at this number 626 817 6029. Or they'd send "something" out to my address. Judging by what others have said here I suspect it's a scam.
