Caller was male with a moderate accent and asked for one of our Project Managers by name.  I told him he was out of the office and could I take a message or transfer him to voice mail.  He chose VM but then asked me to verify if said PM still works here and I just said "I'll transfer you to his voicemail." again.

2 calls received so far today, asking for different employees from completely dif. branches of the company. During the second call, I asked for the company name, and got "Proofpoint". Ironically, this is a cybersecurity company. Can't find this phone number on their website though.....I suspect, but I technically don't have enough evidence to say for sure...

This is a SALES slime number....they call our business ALL the time even when we request them TO STOP CALLING.  We don't even give them the time of day any longer.  Most of the time they call for people who don't even work here and when you tell them that, they get all nasty and argue w/you.  Just hang up on them...they are rude and wasting our time...that is what they deserve.

Received a call from a male speaker, moderate accent as others have stated.  He asked for a person who does not work here and then for a "director of sales."  I asked what the call is regarding and he said a "business matter" but did not provide me a name or company.  He became quite rude and said "Just transfer me, who would you be taking a message for if you will not give me the name of one of your sales directors."  I explained we have several directors and did not transfer him and then he just hung up on me.  Seems extremely suspicious to me.

Called my work number asking to speak with "Mr. Admin. [Our company name] Admin.]"... Really?  I asked who was calling and the nature of the call. She said she was calling from Ring Central (NOT) and wanted to speak with Mr. Admin OR the IT Manager. Playing along, I told her that Mr. Admin was not in but I would take a message for him. She then asked me for his schedule and when should she call back. I said that I can not provide that information but would be happy to take the contact information with a phone number to return that call and pass it along. She said "OK just tell him I called" to which I replied very loudly and sarcastically "SUUUURRRRE!" and hung up.

Caller wanted to be transferred to a specific IT employee by name, said he was expecting the call.  When I suggested he must have the direct phone number if he is expecting the call, he didn't have an answer for me.  I put him on hold for quite awhile, then sent him directly to that employee's e-mail.  He can delete any message if one is left.

I was on a call when this number displayed on my phone.  Thought it might be family business (almost fooled) with my folks in Ca.   Left no message but I was able to scribble the display info and look it up.  Thank you everyone else who has reported this -- I will let our IT Dept know of the occurrence.

Caller was male with a heavy accent and asked for one of our employees by name. When I asked his name and who he was with his response was "Mr Smith" and "garbled first name" Electronics and that she was expecting his call. I put him on hold and spoke with the employee to find out if she knew this person thinking the call might be for an electronic devise she owns. Not surprisingly, the answer was No. End result, the man claimed to be selling some sort of industry specific books but he had our company in the wrong industry and kept changing his story so I requested they remove our number from their call list.

Called our office location several times in two days, asking for two different employees.  I stated this is a business and to stop calling, but they immediately called back and the caller was a woman instead of a man this time!  Very annoying at home with dealing with these types of calls, but now at work is disruptful!

A man called asking for our system admin by name. I said that he no longer works here and he asked for my name. He said his name was "Frank", probably not his given name based on his fairly heavy Asian (India, Pakistan) accent. He said he was calling on behalf of Amazon Web Services even though the caller ID said SNFCJUNPR CA. He then asked for my title and I said COO and he hung up on me. Nice! Hope he doesn't call back.

Repeatedly calls asking for people no longer with our company, then asks for "IT Manager" when advised as such. We have asked them to remove our company from their list, but they continue to call. Same gentleman has called back a few times, and once even asked me quite rudely, "Why did you hang up on me??"

Caller named Lisa with a poor attempt at accent and fumbled at every answer. Asked for my marketing manager by name. Then hung up and called again asking for several other names from our other branches. After asking several times said it was a for a marketing webinar which when I confirmed with my marketing manager was not true at all.. As expected, she wouldn't give me a number to call back or the company name.

This number called our business with the caller ID showing SNFCJunpr CA. A man asked specifically for one of our employees. When I asked who was calling (standard procedure), his answer became garbled and I had to ask him to repeat himself which he wasn't happy about. Claimed to be "Joseph" with the last name too garbled to hear. When I asked which company he was with, he said "Moser" which seemed strange. Our employee asked me to screen the call, I offered to transfer the caller to voicemail but he declined. Because it seemed off compared to calls we normally get, I Googled the company and it's a manufacturer of micro-precision components. A company like this would never call us and has nothing to do with our field of work, which makes me think the caller was lying. Especially after reading these other experiences as well! Seems like it's some kind of scam.
