    Annoyed IT Guy
They call my business cellphone every now and then. Caller ID varies, today I received 2 calls showing only "775372". I receive scam calls so often that it is now my policy to not answer unfamiliar numbers - if it is important they'll leave a message. They rarely do and this one is no exception.

    Weary Operator
Man with accent requested non-existent employee, then hung up.  Too bad all these enquiries can't be this simple.  Usually, they launch a harangue with, "Are you looking in the global directory?" or "But I just talked to them," etc.

    Fed Up
They say they are calling from ServiceNow asking to be put through to a staff member that hasn't sent off documents to them that they require. This is a scam as always. I let the caller know ( he was being coached on what to say as I could hear a lady in the background and she was helping him with his pronunciation as English isn't his first language. They call weekly with different company names.

    Switchboard
Woman with accent wanted specific IT manager not at this location, then asked for his direct line or to be transferred long distance.  I stated neither option was possible and hung up when she hesitated.

Variation on a theme: Man with accent wanted specific IT employee not at this location, then asked for the direct line or to be transferred long distance and hung up when I declined.  He returned two minutes later, claiming that I HAD transferred him, but the call didn't go through.  I stated that I'd done no such thing, because he'd hung up.  After a moment's silence, the line disconnected.

    Switchboard Operator
Caller with accent asking for names that are not those of any employees in this company.  Calls repeatedly.  Begins the call with  "can  you hear me?"   We do NOT use the word yes on the phone.
Very annoying, this number is on a do not answer list.

same as all the others listing their experiences.  wouldn't it be nice if our government would stop wasting all our taxpayer dollars doing nothing, getting all up in arms over guns, who people think are attractive and two old dudes who have no business running anything, much less our country... and actually do something like create laws against this type of cold calling spam?  maybe a house or senate committee to investigate how companies like this get our names and numbers?  clearly someone out there is selling our personal info...  maybe do something about that.

Did you actually take the time to think before making that post or is this simply the best political soapbox story you could come up with?  Your post is hilarious!  There are already laws in place but you somehow think that more laws will stop criminals from doing what they do, don't you?  Can you name me one single law in the whole world that stops crime?  Go ahead, give it a try and I'll even let you use the 10 Commandments as well.  I won't hold my breath waiting for your answer because you won't be able to come up with one.  The even funnier part is that you think that people have to "buy" names and numbers?  Now why would they need to do that when it is all over the internet for free?  Grow up dude,
