It is Stoneleigh Recovery Associates LLC. You can view the company's info via the Better Business Bureau website. The President is Rudolph Knepper. You can search a website like Spokeo.com and find his personal address and phone number. He comes up as "Rudy Knepper" assuming it's the same guy.

left a message for someone who lives in houston with the same last name as ours (we live an hour north of there)....was the first call from this particular company, and they left a number to call back if you are not this person....866-724-2330....i explained that we had never heard of her, and the lady on the other end was actually polite (!) and said our number would be removed from the system....not the first call from a collection agency for this certain person, doubt it will be the last, but at least this person working with this company was smart enough to realize not every number pans out and are willing to take you off the list......now, if i could only find the person they are looking for, i would LOVE to give them her number!

Jay Millin called my phone for my daughter. He said he was from Stoneleigh Recovery, I asked what he was trying to recover.  He just asked if this was a good number for  her, i said no and he hung up

I HAVE GOTTEN SEVERAL CALLS FROM THE 630-396-8080 #. THEY TELL ME THAT I STILL OWE THEM MONEY THAT I HAD TAKEN CARE OF OVER 2 YRS AGO. THEY JUST KEEP THREATING ME ABOUT THIS BEING ON MY CREDIT. NOW THAT I KNOW THEY ARE PLAYING DIRTY WITH OTHERS AS WELL I HAVE PUT A BLOCK ON THAT #. THEY ARE VERY RUDE & WILL NOT LET YOU SPEAK. IT IS SAD THAT THEY HAVE WAITED MORE THAN 2 YEARS TO TRY TO COLLECT ON A PAID ACCOUNT.

I have had my cell number for 7+ yrs and have been receiving calls for "Juliet" constantly!  I finally told this one guy "Hey look Romeo there is no Juliet at this number!"  Today received a call and told them wrong number. Before I could ask for them to remove my number he hung up.  I called back and the guy was a real jerk insisting its the first time they called! I preceded to tell him this Juliet must have some debt!  He got defensive and said, "How do you know this is a debt collection agency when he called he never said it was"!  (Duh) I called you back!!! lol what a loser! He stated, " this person must know you if you keep getting calls! I insisted I have never known a Juliet!  I asked to remove my number and he was hyperventilating that he already did!

Stupid morons can call all they want and I will continue to give them the directions on how they can cure their rectal cranial inversion problem and they will continue to shove it deeper. The person they are calling for has nothing to do with me and every call after I have informed them of this, is money so keep it up. I will follow through just like the last time. What a debt collector CANNOT do:
•Use deceptive practices. For example, threaten you with arrest or  trick you into paying for collection calls.
•Use obscene language.
•Call you at work after you tell them that your boss does not approve these calls.
•Deny you the right to receive a written notice (within five days after your first phone conversation) that would tell you how much you owe and the name of the creditor that says you owe the money. Stoneleigh Recovery / 630-396-8080 called about a debt that was discharged in the Bankruptcy but they will not listen and keep calling about it... They presented a settlement of $500.00 even after i told them it was dismissed in 1994...
What can i do???

If this is a debt that bankruptcy was filed on they are violating all kinds of laws.  You should seriously sue the heck out of them.  My parents went through bk and I know it's no fun!  Time for some action against slimey companies like this one.  They are harrassing me over a debt that is uncollectable due to the fact it was over 4 years ago, and it was part of and id theft case!

What they are doing is against the law. If you can find an atty to take the case go for it.  They can only discuss what they have in their office, not what is on your report!!

They are violating many laws.  I'd contact an atty regarding this.  You could get a pretty amount from them, including fees!

Call them back every time they call you.... Only from a very public phone ie Wal-mart or hospital... and say May I speak to so-so... Hey, you left a voice mail? Then start talking trash like how's your day going, what's your level of education, blah, blah, blah...  for about two minutes...

I got a call from this number at 6:30 AM. I answered and got NOTHING on the other end. I keep getting calls but no one answers.

This company called my cell phone, my friend answered it I was not at home at the time he asked for me and she said I was not there and he said it sounded like me from my voicemail.  I do not have voice mail and then he said he did not let his friends answer his phone.  I am surprised he has friends.  They are jerks.

If you can prove this debt has been discharged, and you have told them not to call you at work, they are in violation of the fair collections act.  You can sue them and collect up to $1000 for each violation.

You're a big tough guy threatening someone with physical violence over a telephone. Why don't you really man up and pay your bills???

They have been calling me for weeks now, almost every day. Come to find out they were calling about a debt that was settled months ago. They also called my parents number which they told them they were listed as a family member, very weird. I don't know how they get this info. Don't know why they are even calling me... I have no more debt.
