the name and number that bruiser above me posted is correct.  they were calling me for an Indian woman and would only get an automated system when I attempted to call back.  the number bruiser gave connected me to a person and they removed me from the list.

Lots of calls for my elderly dad from this number the last 2 weeks. Dad was at Loyola hospital last February, and the docs probably saved his life, since his previous doc kept insisting for years that the muscles wasting away in his legs were arthritis (a joint disease), and the Northshore cardiologist to whom he was referred said he wasn't sick enough for some recommended but experimental heart surgery. Turns out dad had two blood clots in his legs, and part of one broke off and ended up in his lung causing either pneumonia or something like it, but that doc would also only refer dad to Evanston hospital, which killed his twin's wife in 2007 during supposedly routine cardio surgery.

Trouble is that Loyola's billing is both opaque and creative. I don't have last February's bills with me here in the DC area and don't want to drive him back to the extreme cold. Plus, I haven't yet examined the bills from his July encounter after his twin fed him a tainted hot dog (Loyola kept him in the ICU for over 24 hours, supposedly for contagion control purposes but now I'm learning that's another aggressive billing technique). Trouble is, some real estate speculators are involved with crazy development/bank fraud in the property next to my dad's in the northwest suburbs (lots of LLCs and recorded interbank transfers) and have threatened my dad's life. Now Loyola too wants to use dad for experimental surgery, which one student doc said would cost $100,000 before being shut up--and others at Loyola orally say would be covered by his insurance or Medicare -- but I doubt that's true. And of course dead men tell no tales. Sigh.

Anyhow, I called this number and spoke with a guy with an urban accent. For what it's worth, the collection call center's in Jacksonville, Florida, though they use the Montana address and the 877-236-5791 and 877-277-5520 callback numbers to confuse things further. So I've gotta find and draft a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) notice to stop the calls. However, aggressive hospital systems like Medstar in my Washington DC area and probably Loyola in Chicago just keep bouncing the questionable bills around. IMHO its not an obamacare issue at all...

They seem to have a lot of numbers, some even spoofed. And they autodialed my cell phone for weeks before I was able to get them to stop. A big TCPA no-no. I was getting calls telling me about someone else's unpaid accounts. And they insist on you going to court to resolve the issue. I was told to file a complaint if I wanted a resolution, that they wouldn't work something out with me on the phone or even via email. It's like they want to pay for your filing fee and attorney's fees. Makes no sense when they could be saving about 4k per case by working something out outside of litigation, and this is coming from someone who likes to be in court!

99% of the time the court threat is a collectors script, ruse, trick to scare you into paying. If they tell you dates & times they will be "supposedly" serving you papers then for sure it's a lying scare tactic. Court process servers do not give you warnings first nor do they give you a heads up in advance when or even that you are being served. They just show up at your door step with the papers.
