I received serveral calls from a man named Jeff. He asked me all kinds of questions. Very personal; which I told him was none of his business. He told me he knew that I recently purchased a house and who I bought it from. He knew my mortgage company and how much I purchased my house for. He even told me how many children I had and my place of employment. By this time I was already angry and scared at the same time. He told me that if I did not pay
the debt that I owed that he would garnish my pay check. I barely make anything right now. I'm struggling just to make sure that my house note gets paid and the electricity stays on. By now I am crying.....Idon't know what else to do. I can't afford to be sued. I HAVE NO MONEY!!!! I made a huge mistake and gave him my account number. I am really scared.  What do I do???? Can they take my paycheck? Someone needs to put a stop to these people.

I received several calls on my cellphone and work phone from a Marcia Frederick stating that she needs to talk to me regarding a personal business matter and she provided her phone number.  Personally, I wasn't sure of the exact nature of the call because she didn't provide any further details.  Each time she called her tone was very harsh and it was bordering on abusive.  Finally, she became even more belligerent and started calling random numbers at the company that I work for.  Individuals within other departments received messages stating that she needs to contact me.  She called my administrative assistant and my manager looking for me. Both individuals said that her tone was very harsh.  Eventually, enough was enough.  I did not want to get fired from my job so I called.  However, my company forbids me to receive or make calls that are non-work related.  I spoke with her and she was very aggressive stating that I could afford to pay my bills, she even wanted me to charge the balance of the card to another credit card.  Then she started reading off information from my credit report stating that I could pay my bills and she thinks I wasn't trying to make an effort.  I don't know about most people but in my situation I was current for years on this account but ran into to financial problems in the last two years that made me deliquent on a few accounts.  Most people don't start off paying consistently on a bill if they plan on bailing out years to come. She also started devulging into my personal matters by stating my occupational status, my personal checking account information etc.  She completely over stepped her boundaries and I became so furious I was brought to tears because I want to pay my bills but am unable at the moment and now I had a complete stranger who was clearly harassing me about money that I did not have!!!!  She demanded that I make some sort of payment because she deemed that my account with the Chase card holder was a fradulent account etc. This was the most iriate and personally disturbing phone call that I have ever had to intercept.  I would like to inform others to not take such harassment from this company and state that they are not allowed to call you and harass you due to the law.  I am more knowledgeable about sneaky tactics that these creditors try.  I will no longer stand for this harassment anymore!!!

Three calls.  Two from "Ms. Nute" and one from Valary Hurd.  One stated that 'we have an important decision to make that you want to be a part of, call back TODAY.'  The other was much less demanding but advised I call immediately.  When I did return the call they had no idea who I was.  After looking my name up they asked for my ssn.  The call went poorly afterwards because I'm not nearly that foolish.  The lady would not tell me what company she represented until I helped her understand that there is not, in fact, a "Federal Law" against her telling which company she works for prior to my sharing identification.

I have been receiving calls at home and at work.  The mans name is chuck stein and he never says who he is calling with until today.  He claims that it is Integrated Portfolio Managment. He is always very stern and agressive and insist that I call back immediatley and that it is not in my best interest if I do not.  This last time he called me, he even used my daughters name.  He also said before hanging up, "You know what this is about".   The number he told me to call him back on is 866-557-7208 ex. 2352, which is not the number that comes up on the caller ID

I am so sorry that this happened to you.  I too have struggled financially and when I was younger I used to let these people really scare me, until I found out what my legal rights are.  Hopefully you were able to resolve this and just remember, don't even feed into these tactics.  They are so illegal and if a reputable business needed to contact you regarding financial matters, they would go about it more professionally than these people do.

I keep getting calls from this number, they say they are handling a very important matterand he has to make a decision on my behalf about some sensitive activity that I am not aware of the circumstance and wants me to have a voice in the matter before he does.  I have gotten calls from Robert Sullivan and Helen Frazone. They have been calling me for over a month.  They do not tell me who they are with or what they want. I called them and got a recording that says it is Integrated Portfolio Management and then I hung up. I looked up the number and the number is a land line phone from Bensenville, IL. Unless they want to tell me what the heck they want I am not talking to them!  Guess that is what leaving messages is for, so I can screen them!!!

Yes, Integrated Portfolio.  They said the same to me, they know what kind of car I drive, the tag number (which is SCARY!!!) That they would freeze my assets (like I have any) etc. etc.  His name was Daniel Escobar. Turns out you CAN ignore them and it's illegal for them to touch any of your things!

A man identifying himself as Robert Kellogg called my 73 year old mother yesterday attempting to locate my wife. When my mother explained that she had failed to give my wife a previous message from him due to the unexpected death of my youngest brother he replied that "he did not give a damn who died". He also used a great deal of profanity while speaking with her. My mother was so shocked that she was barely able to speak. How can my parents take action against this company? I spoke with Robert Kellogg yesterday afternoon, but have been unable to get him to return numerous voicemails that I have left. These people are cowards and pond scum. I cannot believe that anyone would speak to an elderly woman grieving the loss of her child that way.

I just had a very similar experince with this company. If you have any new information I would appreciate you sharing it. I can tell you that I have received some valuable information from author Dave Ramsey about how to deal with a company like this. You can Google him if you are interested. This company is crazy.

Here's some information I have learned dealing with this company. Hope it helps someone:

The only tool these people have is intimidation. You do not have to speak with them; you can hang up. Don't answer if they call back. Do not give them your bank account information, if you already have, then change banks. They will eventually settle your debt. Never pay them the full amount you owe. Your orginal debit was sold to another company for much less than what you owed. This company apparently either purchased your debt or they have contracted with the purchaser of your debt to collect it. They will settle for far less than what you owe! Be sure if they settle with you that you get the terms of the settlement in writing before you pay them a dime. When you do pay, do not give them your bank account information. Make payment through a money order, cashier's check, etc. Never throw away the settlement information. You may it need should they or another company try to collect the same debt in the future. Never share with them any personal information. Do not allow them to intimdate you. They will try everything including threating prosecution. Again, the only real weapon they have is intimidation. This is very important: you can notify them in writing to stop contacting you, your family, and neighbors. Send the letter certified mail and keep a copy. Keep records of any instances of them contacting you after they have received your certified letter. You may use their unethical business practices later as leverage to settle your debt or in a lawsuit. Again, this may be useful should they attempt to sue you for the debt or should you need to sue them. If possible and where legal record any phone conversations you may have with them. Tell them at the begining of the conversation that you are recording the conversation. They will much nicer to deal with.

A Richard Louis from IPM called 2 weeks ago ,making threats to take my car, very demanding, disrespectful, ranting and raving. Would not even let me get a word in. Demanded full payment nothing else. He called again today 7-28-08, loud, disrespectful and demanding full payment, no payment plan, would not even let me give him my address for him to send written notice of debt. Said he was with Stanley Weinberg and associates.

    never again
in december 2007, i received phone call from these jerks. kept me on the phone for an hour arguing with me about payment arrangements. i finally (like a fool) caved in and authorized 2 seperate $75.00 payments from my account. When i asked him what's to stop them from taking money out of my account anytime they want to? he said it's against the law and i could sue them. two weeks later i start getting calls again (which i totally ignored). June 2008 i noticed $75.00 missing from my account. Guess who... integrated portfolio management posted a nonexistant check against my account. i quickly started a fraud claim through my bank to get my money back, and closed my account. about 10 days later i got a letter from them stating that the post dated check (that didnt exist) that they were holding was going to be deposited. even the date on the letter and envelope were phoney, dated 3 weeks before i received them via us mail. i hadnt received a call from these people in months until i got my $75.00 back from them, now i receive at least one aday, sometimes two. they've tried their postdated scam again, got the letters in the mail about 3 weeks after the date on the metered mail stamp...but since i have closed that account they wont be getting anymore of my money.  DO NOT EVER GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER TO THESE PEOPLE!

The coller was Robert Sullivan, but the number given was 630-446-7100.

They're essentially looking to collect money from me, from a charge that is legit. Unfortunately, I tried contacting -them- a week prior, but they told me they were in the middle of transffering my debt to another collector. They asked me to call them back in 10 days.

    So fine, it's on them.
However, they call me back a week later, just now, and at first they're polite, but serious.

Now, I hate repeating myself, especially when I have to repeat something to someone whose talking down to me (it should be the other way around, no?)

So I tell him, three times that I'm going to pay, but due to a prior arrangement with other collectors, I have no funds to pay immediately, but I'll be willing to make arrangements to pay as early as november.

He goes off on a rant and begins using his silly scare tactics. I hold him right there, telling him off, say if they're refusing my money, it's on them, and to get their priorities in order before they come to me again.
