Southwest Financial - Collection Agency for Verizon among many others.

I got this call this afternoon, but they say nothing. Dead air. I hung up. If this is a collection agency, I don't know why they are calling me, as I know I don't owe any money. What is up with that?

Rec'd a call/hang-up from 630-489-9159.  Tried calling it twice - I get a message "this call cannot be completed as dialed  043T"
I used a "1" and also tried without using "1" in front.  My caller ID says : Lombard, Il
No collection agency would be calling me.

I also received a call from 630-489-9159 yesterday on my ans. machine.  They left no message and
my caller ID says Lombard II.  I owe nothing to anyone so it seems really strange.

This number calls several times per week with an automated message looking for a Joy Floyd and if I am not Joy Floyd hang up the phone for this message is not for you. But doesn't say anything to help the calls to stop if I am not Joy Floyd. Ok I hang up but good grief, enough already.

This is "cardmember services", "important message", "lower your interest rate".
We are are on do not call.

I continue to recieve at least 20 to 30 calls per day from various numbers.This number has called everyday for the past week.At least 20 calls per day.The phone only rings twice then stops.I have no idea of who it is or what they want.Iam on a DO NOT CALL LIST And they have done NOTHING!!!Now,I will contact an attorney.

I get the call all the time too .. it was a lady that was trying to talk but I couldn't hear them because I thought her phone was messed up so I googled the number and found this site. Craps annoying and I really think they should be getting in trouble.. tried calling the number back and go figure it's disconnected.. how is that? oh well, stupid people need to grow up. dont answer the phone call from 630-489-9159

Got a call today from 630-489-9159, answered and I heard people talking, I kept saying hello, hello, they finally hung up.

Placed an on line loan continue to receive calls.

I got a call from them. They claimed that they were from a Windows (the computer program) agency, calling to alert me that my computer has been downloading malicious spyware and viruses. I hung up after that. I assume they want me to panic and then buy their protection program. They forgot to mention the part about the, "Nice computer you have there. It'd be a shame if anything happened to it."

i just receive the call from 630-489-9159 i this guy told me he was calling from the windows center,so i asked where he says California,i don't think cali has a 630 area code,so still skeptic i continue the conversation,he tells me what keys to press on my computer,by pressing this keys its going to weird places on my computer system.so he says,he shows me that i have a lot of viruses on my computer and he don't want me to lose my computer,so he told me to go to a website be  www.support.me i go there and there is a bar that says enter code.I finally hang up on him,5 seconds later he calls from the same # i didn't answer then 5 seconds later a 917 # calls me.I m still puzzled,it's kinda scary.

I too received a call from this number but did not answer it , i'm glad i decided to google this number before i did, thanks for the info. I will not be answering this number

I Received a call from this number, but did not answer it, instead i goolgle it ,and got web site stating others have gotten the same call from this number, i am glad i did thanks a lot.

I received a call from an unknown number that sounded to be a call center in India from this number today, telling me that I was a prime suspect in a financial crime.

He verified the last 4 of my ssn, (in correctlely at first try,) and told me he would have to transfer me to Chief Investigator (? at least I think that was the title he used,) and the phone then diconnected. He called back and the 630.489.9159 # appeared. He transfered me to a man that spoke somewhat better English.

The man told me that he was in Florida and that a company named fast-cash, (and named four or five DBA's,) and was for a payday loan company. He told me that I should have an attorney to represent me because they were coming to my house or work tomorrow to serve me with papers. He listed bank fraud and a couple of other bogus charges.

I asked him WHY he was calling me. I told him that I was well aware of due process not involving a call from a call center in India, or "Florida", calling me to read me an affadavit, and that I had NEVER in my life taken a payday loan of any sort.

I asked what he wanted; what the purpose of the call was. His response? "To [***] you", and then hung up on me. Total scam, ignore anything that comes from this #. I would like to report it to someone, but don't know where to start...

This is a criminal extortion ring operating out of India. ABC News released an investigative report on it in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

Some Indian Guy called me from this number on 9/11 8 times and on 9/12 2x. He was asking me to verify
the last 4 numbers of my social security number and was my name Nancy -- and that I was a suspect in
a crime. I informed this man on every call that I was unable to verify or give out any information as I was a victim of Identity theft from a company called Same Day Loans in Florida who took all of my personal information and including soc sec drivers license bank account info, dob etc. They also got me for $200.00 saying I needed to pay 1mnt in advance to get a $2k loan which I never got, all the numbers where disconnected after they got my money by the way in a green dot money pack. I contacted my local police and also the district attorney and the nys attorney generals office, Floridas district attorney, attorney general. I informed this man that he needed to call them directley. He was calling even at 12:30am my last call I informed him that he needed to learn to speak english, listen understand english, that he was now harrasing me, that I was a victim of fraud would report him in the morning. I contacted the FTC, also the attorney  general again, this company is a scam, still under investigation. If you get this guys number call FTC automatically, by the way he sounds like the same scammer from Same Day Loans who went under the name Danny. If they call you tell them if you really where a suspect they wouldnt be calling you to have  them come to your home, get you there when they do the local police and Fbi will be wating for them at your door. Lol they will get theres for harrasing people common 10x in 2 days enough is enough with internet fraud.
