Called just as my wife was going to bed.  As soon as she picked up a machine said "please wait for the next available representative."  Nothing like picking up the phone and being put on hold right away.  My wife hung up right away.

I picked up the phone, no one responded to my hello?

Call from 630-719-1660 5/20 19:03.  No message.  Have read notes on this site and a few others, and it seems to come in from different cities - some caller IDs are showing Elmhurst, some Bensenville, some just say "Illinois call".  Looks to me like this scammer is using a spoofed phone number.  Also, with regard to the notes about it being a sheriff's department charity, the Dupage county sheriff's department has been issuing warnings about this particular charity scam on a regular basis since 2008.  It has nothing to do with the Dupage county sheriff's dept.
If you want to donate, you should be the one to initiate the contact, and you should call your local police or sheriff's office and ask about their benevolent fund.  Hubby and I donate, but he made the connection to the police department through his workplace, and knows somebody there.

They called; left no message.  I called back and it just rang and rang and rang...
What if we all called that number and let it ring.  And ring.  And ring.  And ring.  Call them
at all hours.  Call them in the middle of the night.  Call them back and find out why they
called us.  Call, call, call.  See if they like it.

Just got a call from this number at 8:45 on a Thursday night in Orland Park, IL. Picked it up on the second ring and was hung up on.

This number left a foul message on my answering machine.  They made fun of my outgoing announcement and called me a bi**h.  I'm going to block this number.  Thank goodness my husband listened to it when I wasn't home with my young kids.  They don't need to hear that.

My Mom has been getting calls for this number and 630-749-1661 and 1663.  Never leaves message or hangs up when someone does answer.  Comes up dupage county.

Just got a call from this number: 630-749-1660 which read on Caller ID as Elmhurst IL. It was a voice recognition device on the other end. The message said "Thank you. Please hold for a respresentative." There was no one there.

These machines recognize a voice answering and record the number as valid. Could be a data collection method or a scam. Never give out information to unknown callers. I'm trying to be nice about answering the phone instead of screening all the time but this makes me re-think answering unknown calls.

I've gotten lots of calls from this number.  This time,  he said he was calling for a Veterans charity to keep the centers open.  Nice guy to talk to.  Try talking to these people for a bit.  Say maybe....2, 5, 10 minutes of their time.

I keep receiving calls from this number. No message is ever left. I never answer calls for numbers that I do not recognize.

They are the professional solicitors TIA.  They called me for contributions to  the FOP.  I would imagine that they solicit for other organizations also.   They hung up on me when I asked for the percentage that the FOP would receive.  Illinois law requires that they give the info.

Soliciting $30-35 for wishes of terminally sick kids.

This is part of the prison telemarketing group, if you see this number, do not answer. These are prisoners trying to gather donations for anything from Missing Kids to Youth Prevention. As you could expect, they're always short,blunt, rude but, then again, wouldnt you be if you were in prison too?

They are ay it again.

I get this number on my caller ID a few times a day. When I answer they just hang up.

I keep getting this call every week.  They hang up each time I answer the phone.  Very annoying!  If the machine answers, no message is left.  I owe no outstanding debts and since they never talk to me. I have no clue as to who this/these person/people is/are.

Caller 630 749 1660 calls around 5 and does not leave msg.  This has happened 3-4- times now.  No answer when I call back

it is highly illegal if they have prisoners working for them an they need to be investigated for possibly hiring felons if thats the case (it is illegal to hire felons to do so an raise funds for charitys in ILL.) i bet if you looked into their employees records you mite find illegal hires TAI is short for telenet and associates inc jeff russeau is the owner an its based out of elgin ILL. 847-760-5001
