called asking for my name and SS#  saying they were from social security dept but when i asked for verification and why they need my SS# they just keep asking for my full name and SS#.  I don't give that info out unless you can verify who you are with all the tax scams out there

Called with a recording saying their was legal action against my social security number and I needed to call back.  My phone number and SS# are not even connected in any way.  This has to be a scam.

I just received the same phone call just now wtf??

I got a phone call stating that they were suspicious activity on my social security number. They said that there was evidence of me doing money laundering.I asked him how is that cuz I haven't worked in 3 years I have no account and no income. They asked my name, address, and social security number. When I asked him to verify who they was and why they need my social security number they kept asking for my social security number. I told him they can't verify who they are then I can give him a social security number.I finally ended the car buy sell it and I will get my lawyer involved I will call my lawyer let him know about this phone call and what was said.

Same as everyone else. Gave them a bogus name and a bogus ssi# and said I was confirmed and just needed a phone # I told him to go f#&% himself. Then I called back the next day and told them the same thing. Lol.

My call was the same as the rest. I received it as an email with voice recording which was forwarded to spam@uce.gov.  Similar calls 6 months ago were stopped by this procedure

I have been called numerous times from this number. I called back and without asking my name was told my social security number was suspended,  impossible it never happens. Anyway was told i was getting arrested for drug smuggling charges in two different states and a whole bunch of other nonsense. If I tried to speak the dirt bag yelled at me and said i had to remain silent and was not to interrupt him. I hung up but unfortunately people fall for this all the time especially elderly people. They should probably be reported but these scams are so difficult to track. Any suggestions?

NEVER give ANY personal information to callers over the phone! You could however provide false info! Nothing wrong with that! Lol!

All you need to do is just hang up the phone. They most likely will not call back. You don't need to call your lawyer!

Folks, if someone calls you asking for information of a personal nature just hang up! They won't call back unless they're stupid and want to waste their time. They are running a "con" and don't want to deal with people who know that it's a con.
