Received call from 631-295-5822. It was a prerecorded message stating that as a senior "you are entitled to receive a free medical alert system and up to $3,000 in free groceries. Press 1 to sign up or press 5 to let your physician know you are not interested." I am NOT a senior and I'm pretty sure my physician didn't give them my number since I haven't been to a physician in a number of years.

They hid their identity so I didn't answer. After reading the comments I glad I didn't. Hopefully some day   we'll be able to end all these incessant robo-calls that violate the law. Until then, I'll just keep ducking.

    (631) 295-5822 Robo call recorded 3 March 2015 ("National Center for Aging issues a community alert for senior citizens over age 65...free medical alert alarm..." SCAM)
    Caller ID: "Yaphank NY"

    Also called recently from: (310) 599-6020 <> (240) 397-5331 <> (586) 231-3657 <> (321) 332-6561

A new recording of an old "free medical alert" alarm offer, and a feeble attempt to appeal to the cost-conscious senior citizens with free "grocery certificates" to push their "free" medical alert system..

Of course they ignore the Federal Do Not Call list, which certainly tells us something about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of this "free Medical alert and $3,000 grocery certificates" offer:

    [me:] Hello?

[they:] "The National Center for Aging has issued the following community alert for senior citizens over 65 years of age only. Due to the recent dramatic increase in injuries and deaths experienced by senior citizens from a fall, a burglary or any medical emergency, we are sending out free, live saving medical alert pendants to all eligible senior citizens. The cost of our medical alert system is already covered and there is no shipping charge to you. Press 1 now to verify your address and your delivery date. In addition to your new medical alert system you will also be receiving three thousand dollars in grocery store certificates to help you save every month on your household living expenses. The entire alert system and three thousand dollar gift certificate is free of charge. Again, press one now to verify your shipping address. Press 5 to notify your provider you have refused the shipment." [brief pause then message is repeated]

[At least they didn't say "...laying on the floor..." nor "...just press a buh-hun..." Gotta give them credit for this, lol.]

Received a call today from 805-117-2216, which has been reported as a man with a thick heavy accent pushing the scam of internet problem. Today that number was used as a "drone phone." A "drone phone" simply calls to find if there is a live line. Then they have their telemarketing team or entity buying these leads follow up. This call came in at 7:28 AM Mar 4, 2015. Then I received a call from 1-631-295-5822 at 9:15 AM Mar 4, 2015.  This was a recorded message stating it was not a sales call and made it sound like it was from AARP.  This area code is from Santa Cruz, CA, where the 805 area code is Bakersfield, CA. From the initial "drone phone" call to the scammer call usually takes less that two hours with most scammer calls within 10-15 minutes. All Scammer calls have a different area code than "drone phone."  Another report recently tied the 805 number to (310) 599-6020, (240) 397-5331, (586) 231-3657, and (321) 332-6561
