Call came in as "Melissa DeMarti", 631-676-4171.  Male said he was from "Top Knotch Chimney" company.  Told caller I didn't need service and he hung up. Better do a BBB check in your area.

Thank you.  Relative also received call with the same info yesterday.  I called the number back to cancel appointment.  Waiting for return call to cancel.

Hi this is Mary just following up on my post my roof is complete no more leaks and the guys from top notch construction did a fantastic job with my roof!! After they were done they cleaned everything up and left the property cleaner then before they were here if anyone wants to call me for a referral just write a post and I will call you when I get a chance again thank you top notch you guys were fantastic!!!

The number used to call my home offering unsolicited services was (631) 676-4176 and indicated that the caller's name was Melissa DeMarti.  This call was received despite the fact that my home phone is on the national "Do Not Call List."

I have one question:  if this were a legitimate company why in the world would I choose to use them rather than a local company offering chimney cleaning services??  The 631 area code is at least 100 miles from my home and is not even in the same state.

"Mary" left the exact same, word for word, message on phonenotes.org, so I'm sure it's legitimate!

Have two telephone lines - these scammers called both phones.  People are too sophisticated nowadays and look up info from unwanted callers. Attention:  if you have elderly, non-computer savvy relatives or friends encourage them to check with you PRIOR to answering back, making appointments or even talking with strangers.
