You probably work for this company and left positive feedback as a fake, to lure unknown consumers into this web of decit.

i received a voice mail message early saturday from a male voice talking very fast asking that i call him back at 631-941-3300
this was a fast talking new york accent
he left no other information
i won't be calling him back though it might be fun to see what its all about but i will use a non-traceable (i.e. no caller ID) telephone to call from.

We received a message this morning on our company answering machine - The man calling was looking for the owner or the credit manager of our business.  He left this number 631 941-3300.  I did not return the call.  Upon researching the number, I found that it relates back to the Benjamin & Williams debt collection agency out of Port Jefferson, NY.  http://www.usacollector.net.

Received a message on the business line from a fast talking man who did not give his name asking for the credit manager or owner of the company to call him back at 631-941-3300.  I could barely make out the company name but I see it was Benjamin & Williams.  I do not have any past due bills and am on the national do not call list also.  They are apparently out of NY and we are in Florida....  Not calling them back.

This company does not get the job done. They left my company high and dry with an overdue account of $2500. They can get the money for little ones but when it's over $500, no way.

Got a message on my voice mail from Beckman credit Investigators to call that #. Thought it might be related to another matter I'm dealing with with regards to Fraud. Glad I googled the phone #.  This site was very informative. NOT calling back.

We are also on the state and national DO Not Call lists.

You are right on, reaserch everything! Reserch, reaserch, reaserch! If they are indeed a debt collector attempting to collect from you, keep in mind they have 5 business days from the date of their call to follow up with written conformation of their call and its purpose. Otherwise they are in violation of the FDCPA and can be fined $1000. Keep arecord of any suspious calls of this nature. It is not that difficult to foil a debt collector. They called asking for the Credit manager or owner, the number on called ID was 631-627-6009 but no one picked up when I called it. The main number goes to the answering machine. The caller does not identify themselves. They do not leave a message about why they are calling. Anyone who operates in this manner is SCUM and must be avoided and ignored.

benjamin & williams credit investigators, 631.941.3300, www.debt-collector.net.  they've called and also left automated messages at my place of work several times.  their caller id reads simply "8".  i told them i had 'repeatedly asked them to stop calling here', the person on the line sounded annoyed but took my information and then actually answered a couple of questions - who they are, what they do - before i hung up.  maybe there's hope.

don't let these phone spammers get to you.

Can you all grow up. Everyone has to make a living!!! Get back to work instead of figuring out who called you! Get real.

It's true.  If you don't want phone calls, then close your businesses.

Voice on the line spoke very fast.  Had to play the message several times just to get the number.  I never understood the caller's name.  The call was unsolicited.  Left a message on our answering machine.  It was from Benjamin & Williams Credit Investigators asking for our owner or accounts receivables person to call back at 631-941-3300. We are registered with the national Do Not Call List.

It was the same experience as the first poster.  Since I don't owe any money (!) I have no idea what this call is about.  I will not call back.Caller:

They aren't a scam! They are hard-working, dedicated individuals who offer help to small & large businesses alike when they are taken advantage of by the REAL scammers!!!  

Soooo...show some respect, be polite, and be thankful you don't need them!

This is an agency that wants to collect your old accounts receivable for you at a cost to you.  I don't think that it is a scam but will bug you if allowed to.  Use them or tell them NO and to not call again.

Got message saying they want to talk to me about collections.  Stated he was from Benjamin and Williams but asked that I call 631-569-5369 which is NOT the number that appeared on caller id.  Not planning on calling back.  I don't owe anyone any money.

one man show calling numbers of biz's... his name was Steve.
When asked if he was scrubbing his phone lists against DNCs he said "do what?"
basically he's trolling for a bite, but without using valid resources, or process...

our business attorney asked me to call the number he gave me (reluctantly) back, to see if it was even valid... it is indeedy a NY number... but went to some skanky answering machine (very residential sounding...) without even disclosing it was "Benjamin & Williams". ;)

so, this will be fun... who knows... hope they do well, cuz with verified numbers, non-scrubbing of list and a small show of only Steve, this should be an easy roll.

OH! and when i wouldn't give him my number, he calls me a "Professional A**H**E" - nice, eh?!

Professional? Hmmm... You make/fake the call.

I called them back... they wanted to know if my company had any customers/clients who were not paying my  - they wanted to provide collection services.
