Veterans support charity

Received a call from 646-257-2941 on 1/15/15. No name for this number displayed on my caller ID. Researching the web suggests that this number could be from some type of veterans charity however I cannot be sure of that at this time.

called out of area did not answer no message left on machine. now blocked.  

They hang up whenever I answer the phone.

Just got a call from the same number: 646-257-2941.  They did not leave a message.
Reading what other said, they most likely hang up if you don't sound old enough.  I hate scammers.

646-257-2941 charity scams targeting seniors. They call about veterans, disabled children, diabetes and injured police. Different scam every other day same people. They seem to want to target senior citizens hoping some ones gives to a charity. Heartless thieves.

646-257-2941 this number is tied to his one as well. 1-866-317-7141 both are robot voices with a veteran scam targeting seniors

This number calls everyday, Monday through Sunday.  I picked up once and the person was very rude.  Asked for Mary or something and I said there was no such person.  Then he went on and said it's ok, and he wanted donation. I said no and he slammed the phone on me.  How rude!  But then called again everyday after that. Very annoying.

Calls every week regardless of every call being blocked. Not very believable if it's an organization asking for donations. No caller ID info and from a 646 number.
