Why would thieves pays thousands of dollars for a list, when they can use a $200 auto dialler?

Pretty sure the government sells our information. I KNOW I didn't call for information on a back brace, but turning 65 brings out the "old person" sales pitch. Yes, I've had spam calls for decades, but they're targeted to an older demographic now, not an auto-dialer selection.

Call from NEW YORK NY, obviously another scammer. They use the Do Not Call list as their phonebook.

I just am impressed there are enough numbers out there to make it so I really have to not block most of these because they only use them once and then try another one.  And the phone companies don't suspect a thing when clients are adding new numbers by the day.  They just want the revenue and don't care how the line is used.  Anyway, yet another blocked "New York" number.

Got a call at 10:17 a.m. yesterday while I was gone.  No message left.

They are scammers trying to get your health insurance information somthey can send you a back brace and bill your insurance company.  They recently called me from 646-257-3438 and 646-257-3617. Other numbers it appears they are using: 312-386-7750. 989-312-5085, 518-418-2357, 929-244-2508, 312-386-5861, 646-604-7805, 646-467-7805, 646-467-6467, 646-891-2992, 718-354-8029, 518-678-2394, 212-660-5351, 212-662-1326, 212-662-8642, 212-662-1932, 312-924-0860. Thumb typing may have some digital errors, I dunno as its difficult to prof this stuff.

Partial message recorded--- somthing ..... "commercial".  Looked up # here on 800 notes.  ID says Unknown name.  Another back brace bogus call!

Got a call from this new number; 646-257-3438.  Didn't answer since I was napping; just added it to our "blacklist" on our call blocker attached to our land line when I got up.  Heard the phone ring downstairs since I have the ringers turned off on the phones upstairs when I'm napping.  We never answer these criminals but my friend does.  "Kevin" with a thick "Indian" foreign accent was calling him to convince that his computer had a "whyrus" and it needed fixing. After my friend talked to "Kevin" several times over several days he got tired of the game and got creative and told Kevin" that he had hired a Hindu shaman to place a curse on him and if he kept calling something very bad like a serious injury or death would happen to him or a member of his family.  Guess what; "Kevin" quit calling; just sayin.

Call on July @ 12:09 EDT.  No information on Caller ID and no message
