Called left no message when answering machine picked up

Scam. Senior assisted care BS.

Called and I answered since I was at my desk and had my "Block Button" handy.  The caller said he was Mike (sounded like a boiler room activity in the background and foreign) and was with Senior Care.  Did not listen any further, hit the block button and hung up.

No message. Blocked number.

Didn't answer and they left no message. With all the tech we have, why can't we stop those harassing calls? It happens very often; whether on the land line or cell phones.

Said she was from medicare,  foreign voice (Women) lot of back ground noise.

A woman, with a foreign accent, called to ask me about our Medicare accounts- wanted our account information. I told this woman that "if you are calling me about our Medicare accounts, then you already have that information. Furthermore, I am not on Medicare." I told her that there was a lot of background noise and everything I said was being echoed back. She hung up.

Scam.  Asked me about my bad back and arthritis.  I asked how do they know I have a bad back?  Then he asked about my knees.  Again I said how do you know I have bad knees.  No answer that made sense.
