- Not stupidReceived a call from this number saying in response to my inquiry about a back brace advertised on TV. After talking to the first birdbrain, I requested to speak to a manager. I told him I wanted his address so I can file a complaint against his company. I explained this is not my first time requesting that they STOP CALLING ME! I'm not even on Medicare! The manager "MATTHEW " said I could look it up on the computer "SENIOR CARE AWARENESS in Orlando, FL " I advised him I was and couldn'the find the address. He would not provide a mailing address and then hung up on me. The number on caller ID comes up NY. PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THEIR MESS!

i'm on no call-----want this person prosecuted - Flyboy| 1 replySPAM CALL - In a longtime calling scam, crooks leave voice message asking you to call back a specific number because you have won a sweepstakes, won a cruise, credit card services or have an undeliverable package. Now they simply program calls to smart phones/home phones to ring only once or disconnect when you answer. Your curiosity over a missed call alert results in you spending upwards of $30 to call back. The reason: Despite a seemingly American area code, the call is to an international phone number - often in the Caribbean, that charges a premium connection fee and per minute rate which is extended through long holds and frequent transfers. You might also find charges crammed into your phone bill with such innocuous language as “special services,” “Internet advertising” or “minimum monthly usage fee.” What to know: BEWARE of any unfamiliar calls – one ring or otherwise – especially with area codes 268, 284, 473, 649, 664, 767, 809, 829, 849 or 876. DO NOT return these calls under any circumstances. JUST delete them immediately. If you are getting texts on a cell phone, forward any suspicious texts to 7726 (“SPAM” on most keypads) to alert your carrier to those numbers, and then delete them.

- Who Cares replies to FlyboyInternational calling is not enabled by default on a vast majority of cellular services. If you have "pay as you go" cell service that you pay fot at the beginning of every month (in other words, you don't receive a bill for the previous month), then your phone does not support international calling unless you specifically add international calling to you plan.
If you have a "pay as you go" cell service with an international calling plan, the plan typically provides a prepaid dollar value for international calls (typically $5.00 worth), which greatly reduces your exposure to this type of scam call. So called "unlimited" international calling plans usually only include calling to popular international destinations, which does not include many of the destinations listed in the comment above (the exception would be Bermuda, Martinique, and the Dominican Republic). But even if you were to call one of these destinations, you would not pay anything more than what you pay monthly for the international calling feature.
Land line phones are a whole different animal. Since many of these services are post-paid, you may potentially be on the hook for exorbitant charges IF you have and international long distadistance calling plan.
Bottom line: so called "pay as you go" cellular services really are the best deal available for phone service.
I personally use Net 10, which is a division of Tracfone. I pay $45.00 a month, my phone is on the AT&T network, I have unlimited calling in the US, unlimited texting, and 5GB of 4G LTE data every month. The best part is that I can use an AT&T cell phone (iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy -- anything that is a GSM phone).
Likewise, if you wanted to use a T-Mobile, Verizon, or Sprint cellphone you can do so as well, and you'll also be calling on the T-Mobile, Verizon, or Sprint network. - Too busy for this stuff...Caller ID said New York so I didn't answer - unfortunately I didn't get to my answering machine fast enough to turn it off, which I do if I suspect SPAM...because an answering machine is thought of as a good number.
Anyway, they did leave a message about returning MY call. which of course I did not make, about a back brace. No one here needs a back brace or is on Medicare.- Call type: Telemarketer
