These insurance scammers keep on calling with different numbers about back braces. I don't answer
unknown numbers.

Just got the call but was automatically blocked by my call blocker.  Only numbers I program in as invited will ever get thru or even ring.  It seems this back brace scam has called from many numbers and many area codes - clearly a scam

Received call from them this morning.  My answering machine is turned off, for 6 years now since my father's death.  Many scammers preying on the elderly, including via snail mail.

These calls are preying on the elderly -- they need to be stopped!

I got a call from 646-257-3615 on March 2, 2016 at 10:22 am, earlier than telemarketers usually call.  The caller did not leave a message even though my answering machine was on.  My caller ID said, "Out of area," which almost always means a telemarketer.  Don't all legitimate companies use their real name for their ID?  I would think so.   I have been on the federal Do Not Call list for over ten years.  Is there any way to get rid of these annoying calls?

I am on the DO NOT CALL register.  Why am I still getting calls from these scammers?

Got this call this morning, too.  No message left.  We have been on the do not call list ever since it started.  It means nothing....they still call.

As soon as I answered the phone a recorded message said they were calling me regarding the information I requested regarding a back brace I saw a commercial about. This is a LIE and therefore fraudulent! I NEVER saw a commercial and NEVER called and NEVER requested info!

Plagued by numerous calls daily.  I too never asked for info on back brace or any type of brace.  Medicare Fraud!

We get a lot of calls with this scam.  This number is blocked now.

The scammer did not leave a message on our answering machine.
Our numbers are in the Do-Not-Call Registry.

One call from Cambridge, Ma, one from NY. NY one after the other. Did not answer either. Telemarketers for sure.

Same as most of the other posters: This number rang fairly early this morning, showing New York, NY. Didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. From the comments above, it's the old 'you requested info on a back brace.' Of course, I didn't. Pure scam and they're using lots of different numbers and area codes.

Block the number. Being on the DO not call list does not mean these calls will never happen. Legit companies subscribe to the list and do not call people because the fines can be astronomical. Scam artists depend on the fact that most people will vent on these websites and never file a complaint with the agency who might be able to do something about the calls

Not all real companies have their name on the CID. Amex is one, another is Wireless Associates (Costco's cell phone provider). I'm sure there are others as well. Gov't agencies almost always use 'out of area' as well.

Because they are scammers, aka crooks, maggots, thieves, etc. You expect criminals to abide by the law? If so, I have bridges and beach front property for sale :)
