Lehman Brothers - they are a credit card processing company and it is a message.

The message DOES NOT offer an option # 2 - so I pressed OPTION #1...

I stated: "I would like my number removed"

The male who answered said - you have to press option #2 like the recording says - I said there is no #2 option mentioned - he said YES THERE IS...

    And hung up on me.

    There was NO #2 option.

Tried calling the number back - it goes to a disconnected number.

This is an ILLEGAL OPERATION - and they deserve to be sued.

If anyone DOES get contact information for this company - please post it here - there are probably MANY of us who would like to take them to court.

I have had over 6 calls from them and I want this harassment to stop!

Loud, obnoxious, recording trying to sell credit card merchant services.
No apparent way to opt out of call list.
I pressed "1" to speak with live person, but was disconnected.

    Fake Caller ID: "Lehman Brothers"

I susspect they are only attemting to collect banking information. No legitamate company would behave as such.

i have also been contacted by this number several times this past month and a few other numbers such as prodsource and burke inc.  The same number listed on this forum and it says on caller id lehman brothers.  The 646 number is a new york cell phone based number so I was surprised to get this call, they don't leave any messages.   I am glad to find this forum now I know its definitely a scam.

I have been getting calls all day from this number. Pressed 1 and spoke with someone. He said I needed to go to www.donotcall@merchantproexpress.com and I can select the option from there to be removed. When I do go to the site, it says there is no such site, check spelling.

Hi all. I found a way to deal with these scammers. They called our business 5 times today and I kept getting a dead line each time I answered. The final time I just said "hello" (instead of saying the name of the business) and was put through to the recording you mentioned, and pressed 1 to speak with a person. The rep's name was Kevin and he said he was calling from "Visa MasterCard Business Development." I asked 3 times what the name of their business was and if that was it. He told me that the name of the business was "Merchant Pro Express."

So here is what you do. Go to the FCC website complaint form located at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm and fill it out with all the pertinent information.

If ALL of us do this, the FCC will ensure these guys stop bugging us for sure. It will take more than one complaint to shut them down so don't assume someone else will do it, take action. They are clearly harassing people, violating the do not call list (we're on it), and performing illegal and deceptive business practices.

    IMPORTANT: Include ALL information below:

Caller ID information: Lehman Brothers, 646-308-2233
OTHER contact information: Merchant Pro Express, (888) 333-1374, http://www.merchantproexpress.com/
And make sure you describe IN DETAIL how you knew the number was fake and that they were scamming you.

Thanks guys. I want to stop receiving their harassment scam calls just as much as you. Let's make sure the job gets done.

Lehman Brothers is the name that comes up, but no matter what button I press the call ends.  Once I made it to a person and she told me she'd take care of it....nothing changed.  If you call the number back you are told the number is no longer in service.  I receive 5 calls per day.

I keep getting calls from this number.  Callback states it is a non-functioning number.  I have hit "2" four times to be removed from the call list.  This time, I hit "1" to speak with a rep.  He said he is from MPX, and that this is a robodialer, and hitting "2" will only take you off that specific company's list.  I got his company name, and asked to be removed.
I will not do business with companies that use this type of business practice.
