Phone rings 2-3 times, or to voice mail then hang up. Any ideas on what is going on here?

Woman with a foreign accent asked me if I'm Mrs. Peter. I said no. (Peter is my husband's first name).  Then she asked me if I'm Mrs. C... (my husband's last name).  I asked "Who's calling?" and she hung up.

Telemarketing robo-call.  The caller ID was "New York NY"

Obvious boiler room noise in the background.  The man on the phone apologized for calling as it was a mistake.  I'm guessing the mistake is they were looking for residences to scam and not businesses. CID comes up as New York, NY.

This number also called my landline while I was out so I am hoping it was blocked immediately by the free service I use to stop these type of calls. Now I am off to report it just in case it wasn't blocked.

I really need to set up an account here, I've reported more in the last month than in the last year.  MIght be a low tolerance though.  CID said Unknown Name another new one in the last few days.  Will block.  No message.

A recorded message stating that I should hold the line for a rep regarding the CALL I PLACED about obtaining their product, which, OF COURSE, I  NEVER PLACED.  SCAMMERS !

Robot call, something about returning a call about a back brace. blocked.

I have received numerous robo  calls "returning" my call about information on a back brace from an assortment of numbers. Scam artists.

I wait for a voice but all I get is a click!  I don't talk first but wait for them. Nothing!

ID was NY caller - repeated missed calls, so I picked up. After I answered, no response - sounded like being switched to another recording, so I hung up before auto response could start.

SCAM. Hangs up and fills machine with dial tone

My call from these fine people was a robocall, from the esteemed Client Services.  I do so love the sweet sound of robo-gal's pitch.  Will she marry me?  I should propose the next time I hear her sweet voice.

Called at 9:33am CDT. Blocked it as it rang as CID said New York NY

Boiler room call with lots of background noise.  Caller with possibly Indian accent and obviously non-US native speaker grammar announced he was with Health Care and asked if I was doing (?). I said "Health Care? What's that?" and he answered that he was calling to offer me a service for my Medicare.  I said I'm not on Medicare.  "You're not?" "No."  He apologized and hung up.  Probably the back brace scam.
