received a call wanting money from a pay day loan into a checking account that did not exist at the time the money went into the bank.  Right bank, wrong account.  Having police investigage

Payday lending is illegal in quite a few states but it is evenmore illegal if a collection agency does not disclose the name of thier company or makes threats over the phone. Remember it is not illegal to owe somebody money. If it were you wouldnt have gotten the loan in the first place. Call your local state banking division and complain. Even if it is legal in you state. These lenders break federal usurious laws but it goes undetected. This happened to my wife and we had legal orders drawn up from the state for them to stop but this 202-609-8017 number (Patrick Daniels) keeps calling my wife and they wont stop. I called the FBI and reported that they were impersonating an FBI agent and reported one of their numbers. They still call so I call back asking for information and they hang up on me. Cant be that they have anything legit to offer. My other sugestion is to write to your congressmen to get this stupid payday lending shut down for good. I have wrote to my representitives but nothing was done because people dont really know how these things opperate until it happens to them but filling out this forum is not enough to stop this.
