Received a message from office secretary that a Wesley Gibson from "Crime Prevention" was trying to get a hold of me and that it was very important.  Lft this number with an extension (646)525-4064 x3779.  I called from a blocked line and went straight to a generic voice mail to leave a message.  No opportunity to enter an extension.

I am a receptionist for a small business in MT.  I received a call this morning from the same guy, thick indian accent, Matt something, asking for a co worker of mine claiming it was a legal emergency. At first I thought it might be legit because the person he asked for is in a custody battle but after listening to his half thought out answers to my questions regarding his company and the nature of his call I soon realized it was a scam and hung up on him.  He called right back and called me a B, and I again hung up.  I get a lot of creative telemarketers in this position but this was one of the worst.  I wish I would have asked him if this scam actually works for him!  Does he actually make money doing this?

Wow Keri I spoke to Patrick Jones just this morning and he gave me the same load off bull that he gave you....almost word for word. I, being the aware, stated to him from the beginning that we was a fraud and a scammer as I did not owe money to his alleged company. He even told me he could meet me at my house with proof. The more I talked andl et him know that I knew he was a fraud the more he kept tripping over his words.When I asked how much I allegedly owed this company he said "0 point 0 point 0 dollars and 0 cents". I then asked him if I owe nothing why are you calling me. He didn't know what to say. Fraud all the way.

I was actually given a number and was able to get through and the person who answered also had the same accent as the original caller, but he sounded totally caught off guard that I was able to make contact. When I told him I was calling back he quickly replied "we will have someone call you right back". He didn't even ask my name, he just hung up as fast as he could, no goodbye, just a quick hang-up!
The number is 646-525-4064. The original caller said he was from "The Dept. of Crime prevention" but I didn't understand him and I asked him to repeat it, again I didn't hear because of all the background noise. Then he got mad and said "how many times do I have to say it? I told him as many times I tell you to, until I can understand you! He didn't like that vary much and tried to say something else, but I just hung up on him.

This is the second time I've gotten a call from "Alex White"..he used my old house number before..now he's calling my cell phone..from this number..its a TOTAL scam...hang up immediately.

This "Eric Wilson" called me numerous times, as he did my work also, demanding to speak to me about a serious legal issue.  I finally answered when he called cause my work had put him through to my cell phone...He went off about some outstanding bill I owed on for $628.00 and that if I did not make a payment today of $300 then he would file my paper through the courts and I would be arrested and put in jail for 30 days.  WOW!! BOLOGNA!!!  At first I fell for it, cause it was creepy that he knew my last 4 digits in my social, and my address, and phone number, and work place...He began to read me my miranda rights over the phone!!! (like he is a police officer)  I told him I did not carry my card on me to make a payment, so he told me to go to wal mart put money on  a pre paid card and make payment that way....Well i managed to get him to just call me back the next day, but before that, the receptionist at my work thought he sounded weird and vulgar when he had called the office for me, so she did this look up of his phone number and came upon this website...Thankfully, he called me the next day, ad I told him I knew what he was up too, and that I wold not make a payment, and he said "ok, I am contacting your local authorities, where are you right now so they can come get you?" yeah like I would answer that...Then he said their was a man in the background instructing me on what to say, and "Eric" wanted to speak to him, when I was actually home alone, with no tv on!! What a whack job!  He then would not stop calling me, after warning him to not call again, and telling him I have turned him in...he threatened me with telling me I should change my phone number, and he will keep calling my place of employment till they fire me cause they are sick of the phone calls, and then telling me that he is going to  "F*** me"!!!!  What a  psycho!  This man is scary....Do not give him any information at all, and just hang up if he calls you!  He even told me he ws the ruler of the world when i asked him who gave him the rights to read someone their rights over the phone!

I received a phone call this person on my voce mail saying that I have outstanding loans and that I need to pay them or  will be sent to jail. I kinda of figure that it was a scam because I got two different amounts that I need to pay. One was for 530 and the other for 795.

I received a phone call from 646-525-4064 and was threatened by someone who identified him self first as Ashton Jones and later on the voicemail as Patrick Jones. When I returned the call to see who it was they claimed to be lawyers who were going to "get me into real trouble for not paying a payday loan". I have paid all of my payday loans, and have proof of payment so I new they were criminals. They are very aggresive and should be stopped ASAP. They have Nigerian or some kind of foreign accents and after researching the phone number I know they are based in New York City, New York. I've contacted the Better Business Bureau, Trade Commission and, of course, CashNetUSA regarding this fraudulant activity. I really despise crooks, don't be afraid of them, go after them.

Caller said his name was Edwin Walker , he had a strong accent and he was with the Department of Crime Prevention. Said we owed a payday loan and that they would put me in jail. gave the phone number (646-525-4064) they made the mistake of saying the loan was april of 2009, I then said I would go to the bank and get records and they didn't want me to do that.

my employer received the same call last week and a Tom guy has been calling me today, he has even called my daughters cell phone. When i talked to him he said that i was facing Federal Charges, that i had gotten a payday loan and never paid it back commiting fraud. He kept cutting out and we kept getting disconnected. I finallly called backed and spoke to another guy who told me that he was from the Crime Prevention Center and when i asked him to tell me what was going on he told me that he would call me back in 5 min. I haven't heard from him since.

the guy that called me was named Tom. he contacted my employer last week and when she told him that he was calling a Law Firm he hung up on her, but called back again today. I was worried that they had my bank info and contacted my bank. She told me that it was total bogus and she would be watching for anyone trying to deposit or debit my account.

I just got a call from this number too.  It came up private but I answered only because I thought it was from a potential employer.  Hard to understand the guy but there was a lot of background noise.  He said that criminal charges were being brought against me.  He was asking me for my street address and to verify my ss#  I hung up and he keeps calling, left me a message with this number.  Does not seem right.

I was receiving numerous phone calls, all of them seemed to land on Thursdays, claiming they were Peter Smith from "crime prevention" and that I owed $632 to some random company I had never heard of.  He started threatening me with a bunch of legalese and at first made me really nervous. He ended his messages with.."if I do not receive a call back, good luck with your life and god bless".  Finally I called the company they said I owed money to and they had no idea what I was talking about or who I was.  Next time they called I asked them to send me an invoice or statement and he rambled on and then asked for my address, I told him I read about this phone number and knew who he was and that I was tracing his calls, he hung up and then repeatedly called me back, a total of 12 times within 30 minutes. One call he yelled at me and told me I owed him $1000 for breaking his BMW car window. Next call he snorted at me and called me a "white pig". I finally had to change my phone number after 7 years...DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!

Hi.  I received the same phone call at work.  The call back number is 904-395-5144, asked for a James Parker.  James Parker also sounded just like the guy who answered the phone.  When trying to get info about this "claim", I was told to either pay or a cop will come get me at work due to criminal charges being filed with the county courthouse today.  Little do they know, my best friend works at the courthouse and said they dont accept the form of warrent that this "James Parker" said it would be submitted.    When I asked for the originator phone number, i was given 646-525-4064.  to my suprise, the same hold music and same guy answered the phone with the same background noise.  I am filing a police report and putting my credit on fraud alert.  I asked for the name of the person who answered both numbers, he was the same person, Ryan Hernandez.  I didnt give any personal information nor confirmed what they had on me.  Just to let you know, social security numbers, phone numbers, places of employment, ect are all public record.  If you have been contacted by these people, I would suggest making out a police report and fraud alert on your credit.

This person Martin left a message on my phone saying that he was from N.Y. Crime Prevention and told me if they do not hear from me today; a legal action would be taken against me.  I'm glad I saved the message, I thought that was weird I got a call from the New York City Police and I have never been to New York and I live in Los Angeles; so what crime would I have committed.  I think I should turn this information over to a law enforcement agency because this person represented themselves as a law enforcement officer.

I have gotten two calls from this number in the last 2 days.  Yesterday, I also got a call from an unknown number on my cell phone and the guy said he was with the Crime Prevention Center.  This is the second time they have attempted to contact me regarding an "urgent legal issue" regarding a payday loan that I never took out.  The first time was in February of this year and when I asked them to send me something in writing, they refused.  It's all a scam and they use threats and intimidation to get you to pay them money.

I recieved a call from a man named Alex White. He called me at my place of employment and informed me that I owed a debt of $319.00 and would need to pay the balance today to avoid going to jail. Alex said if I did not pay the balance he would contact the local authorities and have me arrested on hot check fraud. Of course I asked Alex where he was calling from and he said The Department of Crime and Intervention Unit in New York City. I asked who was the check written out to, date, and amount? I dont write checks but was curious to obtain the information. Alex refused to give any additional information and became upset then hung up the phone. Thirty minutes passed and I recieved a voicemail message from Alex on my cell phone informing me he was again contacting local authorities to have me arrested at my home in front of my children. I was very upset and concerned regarding what was happening and why. I went home to discuss with my family and they advise I contact the police department to report this guy. I went online and placed the phone number in the search engine to see others like myself being violated by this guy.  Truly amazing what people will do..

I had the same calls...what can we do about this...the man had called my father and said he was "MAC" and that he had questions for me about preventing a crime. He said he was from the crime prevention. I called the # 646-525-4064...they answered and i could not understand what he was trying to say to me. I told him that i have a lawyer that i can three way about the matter,,,then i never hurd from him again. I wonder if i can sue them for harassment? When i told them i have only had 1 payday loan and it was for 500.00 they tried to tell me i owed 900.00. I was like well i can send you bank stament stating i never recived any money from a pay day loan from an online company.
