That his name was John Postigh calling from American Sweepstakes Network I had won second  prize of $450,000.00 and I had to call the DCRA at this number 202-552 -6919 to find out how much the insurance would be to claim the prize, then call him back, I was told that I would have to pay $1,250.00 .  and $1,250.00 would be taken out of the prize money .I called John back, I told him I was not sure of the amount he had told me. John said it must have been $2,500.00 for insurance which I would have to pay by Jan. 28,2011 to receive the prize or I would forfeit it. I told him if he did not hear from me by then,I guess.I had forfeited the prize.

They called me about three weeks ago with the same Spiel. IT"S A SCAM! DO NOT send them ANY MONEY! I also got Three Checks in the Mail for about $4,000.00 Each from People claiming I "won" a sweepstakes, and that I was to cash the Checks and them wire them $2500.00 to pay the "Taxes". Ther's A LOT of these SCAMS going around. DON'T FALL FOR THEM! There is some kind of Law that says Banks must honor these checks and make the money available to you right away, however The Checks are Phonys, and when the Bank finds out the money you forwarded to them comes out of YOUR Account and is LOST. The People who do these actrocities ought to be lined up against a wall AND SHOT!

Who are these people?  I just got a call from (202) 552-6919 which is my work number and the man rambled off "You have a balance of $152.00."  What? Who are you?  They kept saying is your name "..." yes but who are you?  "You have a balance of $152.00."  wth?

I hung  up on them.
