Fake A$$ IRS Scammer!

Idiot alert.
And I'm on the do not call list. Why am I still getting these kind of BS calls???

We get these calls every day and from different  spoofed numbers. Today the CID said from Ashland, NE but had local area code and number . I overrode the block and  I told him he was nothing but a scammer and lying scumbag, but he laughed and said he had a right because he was the IRS. I told him I’d report him, and he laughed again and threatened to post my phone number (he read my number back to me) on a few choice porno online message boards and that I would get even more unwanted calls.  I told him he was an idiot and crook.I called the # back (via*67) about 5-6 times and then finally the idiot put a message up stating that the # was out of service. I reported the # to FTC for what good it will do. They change #s constantly.

"If you really want to annoy them, call them back. I do; they get really bent"

IRS scam. I work with folks from the IRS. They don't call. They send agents. By that time you should be out of the country. Lol

This message claims it's from the IRS & that they've filed a lawsuit against you.
1.  IRS doesn't call individuals.
2.  IRS doesn't have robocalls.
3.  Notification of lawsuits are done by service of process...never by phone.

got so many calls from this number, threat a law suit from IRS - definitely a scam - IRS never calls, they send mail - the message did say to whom the message is left for, not a legitimate call

4. IRS is not open on weekends! :)

We received a call, and they left voicemail stating, “Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is officially a final notice from the IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.”

Message cut off, indicating "last call", collection for the IRS.

Got this message message 7/2/16. "This is officer from internal revenue services. We have been trying to reach you. This call is an official final notice call from internal revenue services. The reason of the call is to inform you that we have filed a lawsuit against you. For more information call immediately our department number 646-568-1992. I repeat 646-568-1992."  Funny, they called on a Saturday. Caller ID said unknown. I get these fake calls all the time...Grrrr

I got the same silly message as Aci.  What's unusual for me is that they actually left a message.  These days most of the scammers don't leave messages.  Unfortunately, blocking the number these days is a waste of time.   They just switch to another number.  I plan to give up on my land line very soon and have it removed.

Caller left message, it's the IRS and are filing a lawsuit and to call back.  It is a scam for sure!!!

At least this area code (646) is in the US; I've gotten these with a Cayman Islands area code (345)

SCAM!!! Computerized voice claiming to be from "Internal Revenue Services" [sic] that they have filed a  lawsuit and this is final notice. Well known scam. Caller ID came across as "Name Not Found" and spoofed call ID had an extra leading 1 in caller ID.

Got a call from this number on 7/5/16. I called them back. They said I owe $2400. If not paid now. A warrent is out for me. Size my accounts and take my property. I said I file jointly why isn't it in my husband. He knew his name. My address. He didn't answer me though. I said I'll call it's and hung up.

I got a message which said "We have filed a lawsuit against you. For more information, call this number."  I get many calls daily, but this was a new one. Ignored.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.
