We got same text info with London address (32 Leabank Square, London,e9 5lr England) & how he's buying gift for in-law crap, in response to an ad for a $650 iPad, but he/she used a different phone number than shown in the other posts here. The number used today is: (341) 458-6091.

These scammers are surely using phone cloning software to make people think it's their numbers, - but I'd bet they are all CLONED PHONE NUMBERS belonging to innocent people, who are completely unaware that their numbers are being used in these scams.

They can also be trying to gather VALID EMAIL ADDRESSES to use in scams, so beware of sending yours out. You can CREATE A NEW ONE JUST FOR ONLINE SALES.  

The email address they used today is: BABYJERRY331@gmail.com.

Some text said they wanted me to ship item to friend in West Africa for an extra $150 & they can only pay via MONEYGRAM.

Every time you list an expensive item for sale on Craigslist, it seems the scammers come out in force!

i got texts from this guy. he said his name was james scott and he had a daughter named jane who was in korean. he wanted to know if i could email her and send her info on renting a room. he didn't know if it was an apartment or a house. when i asked him questions on how old she was and if she went to school and whether or not she lived on her own before, he would not answer and instead told me to wait til i heard a reply from his daughter. i never emailed. april 21 2013. im sure he is a scammer

I GOT THE SAME TEXT MESSAGE! I emailed her though, because I was really looking and hoping to rent my place out. She sent pictures and asked for info about the house, never the address though. I replied, sending pictures of the interior of the house and answering her questions. I asked her some in return hoping to get info out of her but she didn't answer them. SKETCHY TO THE MAX!!! Also, the number that texted me in the first place was this one (646-580-1714) but then she told me another number in the email when she asked me to get in contact with her father.

Got text from 646-580-1714, name was James, mentioned daughter (no name) in korea, looking to rent room (which I am looking for renter), wanted me to reply to email address scottishkate@live.com, not going to reply. thanks for the info on this number and the posts.

I got a text from james 646-580-1714 saying his daughter lived in korea and needed a place to live in california and to email scottishkate@live.com. I was stupid enough to relpy? went on to check out the number and saw these post of fraudulent activity. WATCH OUT FOR THIS FREAK PEOPLE.

I received the same story....People really need to get a life!!

I replied as well?! we really need to watch out for these freaks as well. good luck in finding a renter!!
