    Are you getting calls from this number too? Do you happen to have an ad on craigslist? I got this person sending me a so called cashiers check for an item I'm selling....not sure what to do...

    Got the same scam message. Here's what he sent:

    "I'll pay your asking price and extra $50 to take it off CL... But my only mode of payment is via a certified cashier's check. The check must clear first before pick up"

    I asked where he was having my item shipped - from AZ to MS. The item is a freakin' pool table. Also, beware anyone who says "moving agent"... no one talks like that.

    Hope you didn't cash the check! Your bank will be in touch if you did... you can always play along to see what a forged check looks like, though, and maybe even hand it over to the police on the off chance they can trace it.
