Someone from this number called my work number, and left a message to the effect that a serious law suit was pending against me. I believe this to be a scam artist trying to solicit money, and personal information.

I just had my boss call and tell me that someone by the name Albert Franklin with this number called and said if I didn't get ahold of him i could go to jaill!! Definatly a scam!

(646 583-0220) This number called me several times stating I owed money from a pay day loan and that I was going to suffer legal consequences if I did not pay. It sure is a scam I don't do payday loans I hope they take me to court so I can prove my case and maybe get these idiots in trouble for trying to scam people out of of hard earned money.

I just got a call from this number and they said that me or my attorney need to call them back immediately and if I don't Good Luck with events that unfold! Wow! Guy was middle eastern and he said he was attorney David Thomas, wouldn't tell me what it was about. Pretty sure it's a scam! Do not answer! When they called it showed up as Quebec Canada.

They keep calling me every week or so and threating me about being arrested if I don't send them the money that they say I owe them.

Just got a call from this number and they knew the last 4 of my social security number.  I asked for something in writing.  They said they were calling on behalf of attorney Justin Smith.  I didn't give them any information and asked for something in writing.  I told the caller I could not understand her and needed the information in writing.  I never really did clearly understand what she was saying, but she did have some personal information.  This is worrisome.

A man called me and said he was attorney named Ricky something. He told me that he had a warrent out for my arrest on a pay day loan that I had never heard of. He also told me that he would make sure the police were at my job to pick me up at 8:00am unless I sent him $600.00 at first then he told me that no I had to send them $2000.00. He also told me that he had the last four of my social security number and when I asked him to tell me it he gave me my email address. I feel that this is a scam trying to get money. Something needs to be done with these people.

I just got a call from David Thomas at my office saying that I would be arrested tomorrow and asking for my attorney information and if I did not have an attorney that one would be appointed for me.  the number came up as 646-583-0220.  So i will see if I will be going to jail tomorrow.  How do these people get your information.

I got a call from the this number 646-583-0220 saying that there was a law suit against me from USA cash advance and that they gonna have the sherriff pick me in the morning and believe this was a scam.

Received call to our business asking for Michelle...we transferred call since we had a Michelle. Apparently trying to seel associate information and stating that she owed money. Stating he was lawyer fromlaw firm, etc but would not provide info. reverse look -up and of couse appears a scam.

"Fake attorney with thick accent claiming to be a lawyer by the name of ben morris. Yeah sure I believe that. Left message on voicemail on my cell and at work claiming I'm going to have legal trouble. Saying he is going to have me arrested over an fake unpaid payday loan. Never existed. First off this is a scam. Second, you cannot be arrested over an unpaid payday loan. And third, if it was really a business it would have a toll free number."

This number has left me 2 messages. Person with an accent saying they are Ben something with an attorney office. Telling me they are taking legal action against me. If I don't call them back. I believe this is a scam.

Got a call saying I was in a legal investigation and was going to be arrested. The foreign lady said she wanted my lawyer's info. I told her his name was George Nuttsack. This is 100% a scam. They want you to mail gift cards for payment.

I wasn^t as smart as you people.  I am 73 years old and got scramed for $400.00 last Friday. That isn^t the worst, he called me again this Friday and asked for my son.  I called the Sherriff and he said he was going to call him.  The sherriff also said to block that phone number on my phone, thats how bad the phone calls were.  So I have blocked that phone number for 90 days.

I got calls exactly like this back in April of this year from another number... and I've gotten a ca from this numver at my work and on my cell everyday this week. Thankfully a family friend is the local police chief and looked into this a bit for me. As far as he could tell, this is completely a scam.. basically overseas companies buy your information and try to scare you into paying them . Even if you have taken payday loans out, owe money, or whatever the case may be, in most states the amount has to be over $5,000 to actually be arrested. My advice is to block the calls and report the situation to your local law enforcement. They may not do anything, but if something comes of these calls, at least it's on file... and maybe someone can gets these jerks for harassment!

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC also.. this gives the most amount of coverage on these types of scams making the info available to all law enforcement agency's.

646-583-0220....Scam for criminal prosecution.  Got a call from this same number.  Just thought they could scam me but I am smarter than a 5th grader !!!

Keep getting calls from 646-583-0220 stating he is an attorney and that I have serious charges pending against me. I could not understand him for he is a foreigner, he wanted me to verify the last four digits of my social security number and I refused to do so.  This number has called me at work several times like 5 times in a row stating that this is some type of payday loan that I never took out with them.  I told them I will get them for harrassment if they call me at home or work again.  I was informed that I will be served with a judgement on Monday Oct 7, 2013.  I will see if I get served with these papers,  Then they claim they are an attorney so then when someone else answers the phone how can an attorney tell someone that is not the person they are looking for the information that I have a serious legal action against me that is against the law?  This bothers me to some extent but from what i have read this is nothing but a scam.
