Called the number back (Blocked my number) They answered...some girl moaning and then she hung up. Scam  or collector ??

I called them back. Some Thick accent POS Told me that I won $10,000 and wanted to know my bank account number. I told him 1 800 suckme

I called from a blocked number. They asked for my phone number and I told them that I wouldn't give it to him he told me to "[***]" an hung up. Thick accent

They called my wife's phone 12 times in one day, called number back, they said they were the federal government branch, told the idiot to quit calling this number!!! Had a thick accent, NOT THE GOVERNMENT!!!

Called twice today.  no message

Has called my number 6 times today! I called back from a block number and some guy with a thick accent said I had won a $10,000 grant. I said to him you are trying to scam me and he went off in a tangent

It is a scam.
The government does not offer grants to individuals for personal use.
It is a scam ran by off shore con artists to trick you into sending unrecoverable money to them, you get nothing in return.

The only legitimate avenue for government grants is through www.grants.gov which is the official US government webs site for grants.

Please note the following:

No government grant-making agency will make phone calls; send email or letters to solicit money or personal banking information from a potential grant recipient.  
There are no processing fees for federal grants.
Federal grants are not issued for personal use, but are intended for institutions and non-profits to carry out projects with a public purpose.
Know who you're dealing with on the web.  Scam artists will often post a website with a name similar to a legitimate site.
If you have provided personal banking information to anyone claiming to be associated with a Federal grant agency, call your bank immediately to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

If you receive a call, mail, email, FAX, or any other form of communication soliciting you for a grant, STOP.
It is a scam.

Thick accent. Informed do not call man asked why? I hung up.  A minimum of 20 calls per day.

Called OVER 20 times in ONE day! Called me from the same number WHILE I was on the phone telling them to stop! They then laughed at me and called me a liar, saying that I was being over dramatic and that they didn't call me 20 times. Thick accents, guys and a girl. Scam saying I had a $10,000 grant available.

I gotten a phone call from them a few times .  they said they where from the  Federal government branch ..  I just hung up on them .. Like really get a real job and stop trying to scam others out of money ..

I have gotten three calls within the last 5 hours. I blocked my number when I first called and some guy answered saying, "what's up bro? dude? sister?' and the second time I called the chick answers, "Thank you for calling somethingsomething grants how can I help you? I then yelled at her to quit calling me and hung up."

The guy sounds phillipine.  Very rude , aggressive, talks nasty to people, & pulls a lot pf tricks from education loans scams, or you won 10,000 dollars.  Phone company wont do anything.  Straight Talk won't block calls either.

I also received a call from them stating that my computer has been hacked if I remember they have fixed my computer last time and I paid a hundred and sixty nine dollars for it to be repaired. He feels like he's going to call me back in 2 hours but I'm going to block his number this is a scammer!
