Says John turner and a paralegal.

Says is name is John from the Federal Investigation Dept. and someone has filed a criminal complaint against my name bearing my physical address and I should call the provided number.

I got a similar call from from "officer Daniel" on my office line - he did not know my first name and claimed if I did not return his phone call I would face "legal trouble" - he finished it with "god bless you".

I do not plan on returning their call -

I receive a message to call the “Canada Revenue Agency @ 646-583-1335.  This is a Brooklyn NY area code.

I called back.  An individual answered who said he was John Turner (Badge No. 6578692) from “Investigations”.   Mr. Turner had slight accent, perhaps East Indian or Caribbean.

He asked for my phone number, which I provided.  He then asked more questions, which I would not answer.

I challenged him on where he was calling from.  He said Ottawa, in spite of his number being a NY, NY area code.

At this point, he told me I had a right to have a lawyer; before I continued.

I told him I wasn’t interested in buying anything.   “Mr.Turner” then hung up.

called, said i had a legal complaint of my name and physical address. gave me a phone number to call immediately. in the end he said "God bless you. this is a lie.

The dude just called me right now. N could not even say my name and claiming the same thing

Same thing, I was called left their message. The exact same message, "Says is name is John from the Federal Investigation Dept. and someone has filed a criminal investigation has been filled. Ending in God bless.  I asked how they obtained my information.  Trying to find out what the call was about, refused to give me information. The south asian person they hung up the phone.

Caller is a certain officer Eric Johnson from canada revenue agency saying someone filed a legal complain against my name and physical address and I have to call back to this no. Otherwise I will be responsible for this legal claim...ending with May God help me. .The accent of the guy is like indian trying to fake an English accent. Good thing I search online first it is a scam...no plans of calling them back!

Received message from William with the federal investigation department.  A complaint has been filed and that i need to call a 323 area code phone number back immediately or face possible legal consequences in the future.   Then ended with God bless.
will not be calling William with an Asian accent back.

I got a similar call, here in Toronto.  Claims to be calling from the CRA and demands that I call them back or face 'prosecution'.  So I called the CRA office to report the call.  The CRA verified that the calls are coming from a telemarketing scam in New York City and to ignore these calls, and to never give out any personal information on the phone. The CRA number to call in Canada is 1-800-959-8281.

This guy called me today. Said if I did not comply with his request (which I did not listen to) I would be arrested. I called the Sheriff's department.

Just had a call similar to all yours above from a guy stating I needed to call them immediately or legal action would be taken against me.  It was my responsibility to call him back.  He ended the call with God Bless and may God help you.  Sort of freaked me out.  I do not believe I will be calling him back.  I noted a very foreign accent of some sort.  I made the mistake of not keeping the message.

The guy freaked me out too. I felt nauseous after I spoke to him. How does this guy live with himself? When someone asks him what he does for a living, does he tell them he terrorizes innocent people?

Got a call from this number also. Claimed that someone would go to jail if I didn't comply. Then had the nerve to call back 3 times! He said he was from the Federal Investigation Dept. This is a scammer with an East Indian accent.

Just received a call from 1-646-583-1335 x100claiming to be Officer Mark Thomas from tge Canadian Revenue Agency. He was insistent that my husband call him back immediately regarding a serious issue involving a criminal government tax matter. There was a lot of noise in the background sounding like a call centre. I will be reporting this call to the CRA as well as the police.

Same caller in the US looking for wife because of criminal complaint.  I was looking for a laugh so called back and he said he could not talk to me and I said in your message you mentioned a retained lawyer and I am speaking on her behalf.

His response - "Who the hell are you motherf***ker"

He then hung up
It made me laugh
