I get calls from TradePub.com on occasion.  They do not try to sell anything, and the calls are not long.  On each call, they offer to send an IT industry paper to my email, and ask for me to download it so that they won't repeat call me.  I accept their offer, but rarely read their paper because it is more directed to other types of IT folk.  I think that the main purpose is to introduce new products that help your IT department.  They ask each time if I am still  programming at a certain named company.
The calls are harmless.

Telemarketer scam.

Spoke to the folks at "tradepop.com".  Pure Phishing / Spam solicitation call.  Got the call on my work phone so I was hesitant on turning the tables on her - (British Accent, good communications skills but couldn't adapt away from the script when I pressed for details).  Eventually she asked If I wanted to talk to her supervisor, (I guess she got flustered by my asking "who are you again and how did you get my name? )  - I told her not really, and wished her godspeed.  I recommend blocking this number - timewasters at best.

Called the reception desk multiple times asking for different people each time. I asked who was calling. She got snippy each time I asked and would not give me information. I just hung up on her.

Caller ID reads NETLINE CORPORATION (B2B marketing services), but people with accents claim they’re from Tradepub.com.  Ask for various employees (mostly in Marketing) about magazines, and I keep saying that requests to verify staff information must be in writing via standard mail.  Finally gave up and started transferring them to Purchasing but now don't answer at all anymore; saves me the aggravation.  Other numbers associated with this organization are 732-395-6059, 323-307-7084, and 347-286-7547.

Keep calling my office and never leave a VM.  I wont be answering this number EVER

Man with accent wanted to follow up with an employee who allegedly conducted research on his company's website.  Our usual response is, the person will phone them with any questions and that investigative queries are considered soliciting and therefore not put through.  Caller ID read UNAVAILABLE, but the Call Log showed this number.  So now, they're blocking their identity.

Same as many above - called switchboard and transferred to me.  Did not answer, and no message left.

Called for a co-worker- connection was very staticy- everytime she said something it sounded like the line went dead- asked for co worker- and made me drag every bit of information out of her

Such a great way to make a good impression ...even if we WERE interested and i might have transferred the call- why cant you answer a few simple questions (who is calling- from where and what about)

Called for someone who either doesn't work for us anymore or never did. When I asked for the purpose of the call, she stated that is was about "Business research in our online library". Apparently they exist, so this might be telemarketing as opposed to phishing, but I don't like it either way. https://www.tradepub.com/ is the webpage.

Caller asked for a former colleague from several years ago, stating she was calling on behalf of Trade Pub to follow up on some online research that person had done.  If so, Trade Pub waits 4 years before reaching out

They called my boss on his direct line.  They did not know his name but I answer the phone with his full name so they asked to speak with him.  I said he is not available and I'd take a message for him to call them back.  They declined to leave a name and said they would email him.  I did hear voices in the background.

this number rings weekly.  messages are never left.

It's possible the phone number was spoofed so the person you spoke to didn't call you.
I would think if it had been an emergency, they would have left a message.

The lines rang on and on, disconnected and immediately were ringing again, showing this number in the phone display window.  The company is closed at this time, but phones remain open for REAL customers and for employees with REAL calls.  This number is now noted on the do not answer list provided to the Switchboard.
