I also received a call from this number they were offering me 6,700 dollars but in order to receive them i had to deposit 250 dollars which i would supposedly receive back within 10 minutes i believe its a scam and hung up

It is against the law to have to pay before getting a loan, grant, or prize.  Hang up if they call again.

This number called me and told me that the goverment was giving me a grant for 6,600. I dont trust this

The IRS does give "grants", and to get an actual government grant you need to apply, fill out actual reams of paperwork, and to have a valid reason which does not include paying taxes on time, never being arrested, paying your bills, etc.  they will ask you for money or they will take every penny you have out of your account, and you will receive nothing in return.  http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0113-government-grant-scams

Received call on my cell phone from an unknown number telling me that I have been awarded a government grant in the amount of $6700. They had my name and address. I was given a Grant ID and call back number 646-775-9760. I was given the name of the Finance Manager, Rachel Foster.

Total scam.  There is no grant.

Well this one sound similar to what i did, last friday I receive my grants in my bank account, where i ask them to transfer the amount, well they charge me wire fee of $210 not from my account but Instead money order, i send a money order from Moneygram to one of their Agent. I was a bit skeptic when i first heard about it I ask my family weather I should go ahead on this or not, but worth a try, I was like gambling with my money, and I can't Believe I Receive what they told me I had won. $6700
