I got a call earlier from this number threatening me with criminal action if I do not call immediately. This is the 3rd number that I have gotten the same call from. Why is no serious action being taken against them ? They are impersonating a major government organisation and yet nothing is being done.

This number has called me 5 times today, I try to call it back, because it Is a recording, to tell them to loose this number. But all you get is a busy signal. This is just ridiculous.

This is the second message I've received from 2 different phone numbers but the message is identical -  "This message is intended to contact you (but they don't state my name) My name is Steve Martin (the second message used a different celebrity name) and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by the US Treasury intending your serious attention, ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to avoid an intentional appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. My number is 646-757-1326. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you."

My son is 15 and has gotten 2 of these same exact messages tho his callers name was Perry Mason with the United states treasury

Got 4 calls from this number, always a prerecord we message. In my case the name was "Kevin Mason", but the accent hinted of an Indian origin.
The reason given was same as others posted, something about a magistrate judge.
What a scam.

Received call. Stated it was the magistrate court. Call back or legal action would be forthcoming.  I attempted to call back but got a recording, stating this is not a working number. No name was given-just the magistrates court.

charges filed against you and that you will have to appear in the federal court. Same person using three phone. Indian in origin but using an alias  Engilsh name. Appears that his parents never taught honesty principles. These fellows are worst then the vultures( as vultures prey on dead animals) but these fellows prey on living hard working people. Hope they get preyed by their own method. It like saying what you plant is what you  get.

I've received the same message from this number several times in the past year. The name of the person has been Steve Martin but today I couldn't understand due to his accent and the loud background noise.  Sometimes it sounds like other people are talking in the background and other times it sounds like he's driving, calling from a cell phone. I've reported it in the past but it's still happening.  I just ignore it, especially when the caller I.D. is Unknown Name.  However, it's irritating that nothing is being done. My phone number is registered with the "Do Not Call" FCC list.

Same message that he is a federal officer and I will be in grave danger if I do not comply!
