Out of curiosity, I returned a call from this number.  A woman with an Indian accent answered the phone "Department of Revenue" (or something like that), gave me her badge number, looked up my 'case' based on my phone number.  She told me there was a Federal Case based on an IRS action stemming from my 2010 tax return.  "Do you know anything about this?"  I said no, but that it was very concerning, and I certainly wanted to contact officials about it.  I asked for my case number and which branch of the Government I should contact.  Then she disconnected the call.

The precise number was 646-757-1394,  lots of similar comment re: 646-757-1389.

Got the same message from "Steve Martin". I knew his movie career has been in the dumps later, but ....
You'd think these imbeciles would come up with a better fake name--do they think Roger Gibson or Steve Martin or whatever Anglicized name would speak with a near-eastern accent?  Anyway, I actually got two calls from theat number within a few hours of each other--one a hang up and the other the same message as above.

Guess they are behind on their quota?

Called and I didn't answer so there was a split second between a group of the rings which registered as two calls from the same number.   I do not answer any call I do not recognize.   I turn my ringer down and check the caller ID whenever I feel like it.  I had the ringer up for the holidays and forgot to turn it down.  Its blocked now.  I love the feel of pressing that blocker button. . lol

Also got a call from this number with similar message about a case pending from dept of Treasury (not IRS!). Obviously some sort of scam.

I got the same call, from the Treasury Department  with an urgent matter that could involve a grand jury action,and the man's name is Steve Martin....that was the name of the reporter in the  original "Godzilla" in 1954.....guess he got out of the newspaper business.

Same call directed to "you" from the Enforcement Actions of US Treasury Office.  Never said my name or left their name just said "you".

Got a call from "Steve Martin" about an action from the US Treasury threatening to bring me before a "court of magistrate."  Will report to FBI tomorrow morning.

An obvious scam from this yoyo.  He is not from the Treasury Dept. they wouldn't contact you by phone.  I doubr if he is from this country.

Steve Martin calling, for "you", calling regarding an enforcement against you. Call back in an hour our officials will be at your door.  OK!

I received a phone that from 646-757-1394 stating that I needed to speak with them immediately or I would face legal proceedings. I returned the phone call and they said that it was in regards to 2010 taxes from the IRS. She said her user ID was 11708. When I asked why I hadn't received a letter from the IRS, they disconnected the call.

Today my father received a voicemail from this number and I called it back and the Indian accent lady would not answer my questions but instead hung up on me.  I called her back and asked for Steve Martin and he wasn't there, I told her I was going to report her to the FBI, and she hung up on me. I called her again and told her I knew this was a scam against seniors and I would be reporting her.  I like to harass these type of callers right back.

We have received numerous calls from this number, saying its a urgent call wanting us to call back because they are from the US Treasury Department  that we owe back taxes from 2010,My husband could hardly understand him so he asked to speak to an America the guy said there were no Americans there.  We called our phone company  had the number blocked.

I have had very similar calls, the last one advised that Federal Agents would be at my home to arrest me within the hour and three hours later when I called back I was told that they are on their way.  I asked if they needed directions.  The call ended.

If you call back you'll never be transferred to the ubiquitous Steve Martin, instead it will be a succession of others none of whom sound like what you'd expect of a legitimate Treasury Department employee.  It would be easier to find Elvis than to obtain any straight answers.

Just recd call from 646-757-1394 left message said he was Steve Martin representing U S Treasury wanted a call back so he could help resolve a problem.  Obviously a scam will block this #.

I received a call from Steve Martin today stating that if I don't call him back that I would be brought in front of a magistrate or grand jury. He also said that he was from the us treasury. I didn't realize the us government hired foreigners. anyways these people need to be Stopped ASAP!

I got a call today from number saying us treasury office and if I didn't pay 6350.00 irs agents would arrest me and I would spend 30days in jail. I asked if I should make plans for my kids.called police and then I called them non stop for 4 hours straight.  He pissed the wrong person off.
