Second call today, to my home phone (on Do Not Call list), first one I answered - heard typical call center noise in background, they hung up as soon as I spoke. I added the number to my call block.

Another call this afternoon, with one digit changed (from 1636 to 1637) so that my call block didn't work. I let the machine pick it up, again they hung up as soon as the machine answered (same call center noisiness in background). The caller ID just shows "New York, NY"

When I called back to demand this stop, of course no getting thru. Tried both numbers, both had a recorded message giving a super long extension number saying leave a message, then that voice mail box was full & disconnecting. Same extension number in both cases:  140 898 329 3738 -- can the real phone number be hidden in there somewhere?  Or is this just the bastid's way of keeping track of who calls back?  

I am so, so sick of this disruptive crap!
