Scam  Do not call back!!!  Or Answer it!!!

I just received a message from this number. It was man with a heavy middle eastern accent telling me that an arrest warrant would be issued for me in the next 45 minutes because I committed tax fraud and to call back immediately.  The IRS only notifies you by mail.  They do not call.  I'm a CPA and have represented hundreds of clients in audits.  Do not call back!!!

yes a heavy accent middle east is this a scar tactic ???? I called back very concerned even knowing it was untrue but received a busy signal !!

Just got a call from this number. Scam

I actually answered this call. I'm just curious to what kind of scam this would be. Also, if it this is scam, what could they do with information from me answering the phone but not providing any information. How are people like this stopped? Seriously the most ridiculous phone call I have had in a while.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I just received 2 back-to-back calls from this number - same as these posts - a man with a heavy Middle-Eastern accent telling me that I will be pursued for tax fraud and that a warrant has been placed out for my arrest and that I should expect the arrest in the next 45 minutes. When I called the number back, the message was that the number was unlisted. Very disturbing!

Just received the same message regarding an arrest warrant and fraud charges from the IRS. I called the guy back, who answered the phone "Hello, IRS"...which was the first clue he was a joke! Once he got done reading all the charges that were to brought against me, I informed him that I located this number on a fraud website and I would need his information including full name, federal ID badge number, supervisors name, office address. He stated his name was Sebastian Cobb (really heavy Indian accent though), works at the Fraud Criminal Investigation office and had an ID number of DRR10. He was unable to give his building address and supervisors name...total BS!

I tried moments ago to reach back out to the number and I am now unable to get through. Probably already disconnected! Definitely a scam!
