I got call from this number 3 times in 3 days.
It seems like anything start with 646-757-16** is a scam.

This 6467571666 is a joke. They look up your information. Call you to tell you that a federal matter involving your name is needing attention.  They try to warn you if being arrested if you don't contact them back.  It mat have been a scam, but they realized that I wasn't going for it.

Very offensive prank or scam. Identified themselves as federal agents and irs agents. Will follow up to shut them down.

I just received a call from these scammers. I'd typically brush hoaxes aside, but this is no hoax, it's fraud - whoever knowingly executes, or attempts to execute, any scheme or artifice with the intent to (1) defraud the United States; or (2) to obtain money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises. And something to this degree I cannot tolerate, these people were impersonating federal agents so they actually fulfilled both of the criteria. When I said on the phone to the "agent" that I'll be reporting him, he responded with, and I $h!t you not, "I'm going to shoot you", what federal agent in their right mind would say this on the phone to someone? This is irrefutably unacceptable and warrants justice.

Judge, I'm interested to know how you plan on shutting these criminals down, and if you may have any suggestions regarding who to contact and how to file a report/investigation. Reason I ask is because unfortunately it seems that, through reading posts like this and related comments, that it's nearly impossible for law enforcement agencies to do anything. I keep reading, "we don't have the resources to stop them". No pun intended that's literally a "cop-out".  Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

The only way to shut them down would be to nuke the entire Indian subcontinent, from orbit, to be sure.

I received repeated phone calls over a period of five hours on September 3rd, 2014. These men have called before and are very forceful. They advised me that they would call the police if I did not call back immediately. Phone number registered unknown or New York at 646-757-1666. Advised I needed to speak with Frank Harris and knew my address & name. Intimidating and scary.
