SCAM !!  Foreign male voice message left (india?). Said  his name was officer eric foster.wants me to call his hotline to his division. Hard to understand, I think he said: Base red hand is extremely time sensitive, now dont try to disregard this message . If you dont return this message or hear from your attorney then the only thing I can do for you is wish you a good luck as the situation badly folds on you. All this was said in as intimidating tone as this human gardage could muster up.  DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK. It is a SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.

"Officer Eric Foster" called from the IRS. This call was automated and insisted I call him back. I called back to notify him he had the wrong number and he used profanity with me, threatened to bomb my house and then hung up. I recommend you contact the Federal Trade Commission and report these number to them as they continue to call my work phone from various states and various numbers but always with the same message.

I also received a partially intelligible voicemail from "Officer Eric Foster".  It sounds like several of us are in big trouble!  LOL....  Not going to bother calling it back.

Threatening phone call claims to be from irs

Got the same IRS "pitch" as the others. Told I was under investigation.  When I pressed for specifics, he said fraud on my tax returns from 2099-2012.  He then told me not to interrupt him.  When I told him I'd interrupt him when I felt necessary, he told me to stay right where I am, as he is sending the police to arrest me.  It is now 11 hours later... no police.  If you happen to talk to him, he does ask for your name, which I gave him, but he is careful not to ask for more information, like your SS number to verify identity.  However, I called the number back, in this case.  I also sought to take control of the conversation, and then I blocked the number on my phone.

The IRS reminds people that they can know pretty easily when a supposed IRS caller is a fake. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never:
Call to demand immediate payment, nor will we call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill..

Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.

Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.

Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.

Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

Same Eric guy said he was sending police to my house if I didn't pay $4000.

Officer Eric.  Same message as stated above.  Will not be calling back.
